The dogs love it, we love it, it’s exactly what we needed.

  2. Rated 4 out of 5

The product worked as expected and was easy to install. I bought this for my first road trip with my 2 year old dog (who has lived with me for 1 year). I had also purchased a box so he could sit up and see out the windows and have the wind blow him. He (the dog) did not like being in the back seat. I put him in the front seat basket and he was very happy. I think this would be good for a back seat dog.

Works great! My dogs have never tried to jump out of the window, this just gives me piece of mind. And I only use them at agility practice/competition. Have one for both rear windows and cover the car with an aluminet. Helps tremendously!

  4. Rated 3 out of 5

Work okay, but very small in vehicles. They are only a few inches tall.

  5. Rated 1 out of 5

Cheap product, tried to return it. They didn’t send a box.

Works absolutely great. I no longer have to worry if my dogs are going to jump out of the window and they get great air flow to them. They love looking outside and sniffing the air now they can do it safely

  7. Rated 1 out of 5

As I fitted this for the very first time, it pulled up the window tinting everywhere the plastic touched my boyfriend’s SUVs window. Oops! Instant return. As others have said, once this is in place the window still needs to be rolled up pretty high.

  8. Rated 5 out of 5

Easy to place in windows, and allows my dog to have fresh air. Many folks commented what a great product it was.

  9. Rated 5 out of 5

It fits my 2013 Ford Escape perfect!!

  10. Rated 5 out of 5

Great for letting a lot of air into your vehicle without worrying about your dog being taken. Sturdy, good fit in all of my vehicles. Easy to put in and take out.

  11. Rated 2 out of 5

Not so good for car windows, my dog pushed it out right away.

  12. Rated 5 out of 5

    Fits nicely in a Nissan Frontier 4-foot and a Ford F-350, 4-door.

Works fine however its too narrow. It should be made to open the window wider for better airflow.

This was awesome for my road trip along the west coast. Easy to set up and it never got hot in my car with the gate. I also bought a portable clip fan I clip the car grip handles to increase air flow into the car. Dog and car were safe and I give this product 5 stars.

These provide plenty of air movement but I wouldn’t trust them in an unsecured area.

Awesome find. We have 2 rescued 31/2 year old puppies. These are perfect for our car trips to keep them safe inside while providing fresh air at the same time.

Flimsy quality but gets the job done. Very narrow, so don’t expect to leave the window open much. If you’re just trying to keep the window about 1/4 open for your pet, this will work just fine.

    I loved it

It certainly does the job but a bit cumbersome installing and removing without a second persto assist.

The best safety feature for my Husky/Beagle besides her car harness. She is more relaxed in the car. thank you

This works great to give the dogs more air but still keep them secure in the car.

Too small to be useful in the second-row window of a 2017 Toyota Sienna. Didn’t fit the entire width of the window.

I actually bought these to fit in my windows to keep the cat from climbing the screens. bearable temperate days, I wanted to open my windows for a fresh breeze, but until I saw these, I could only open the windows a crack. I am sure they work great in a car/truck. They’re durable and versatile. What a great product!

  30. Rated 5 out of 5

Absolutely love it. I was ed how solid they are in the window, next to impossible to pull them out. And they are actually quieter then I thought it would be with 2 windows half down at 60 MPH. Possibly they break the wind velocity. Anyways they are great.

  31. Rated 5 out of 5

Works well the rear windows of my Honda Pilot. Quick and easy to install. Bought one for test purposes then a second one. Allows the windows to be open a good 8 inches and is surprisingly secure.

  32. Rated 5 out of 5

These work great! Super easy to “install” and looks good. I haven’t used them while driving, only while parked. They fit both front and back windows of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee as well as our ’05 Toyota Prius.

    Lindsay Marshall

I expected this to be bigger. I thought it would be more adjustable too. But it only fits into the window at a certain size. However it’s well made and my boys are having a blast playing with it.

  34. Rated 3 out of 5

Annoying to put and take off. But works as expected.

  35. Rated 3 out of 5

Even though it says Extra Large, these things are small. But even worse, they are short. The windows can’t even open halfway with these in, which is not enough airflow a hot day. They need to be twice as tall as they are to be of any use to me in AZ summers. As it is, they will work in early spring and late fall, but that’s about it. As to quality, they are floppy plastic. I expected them to be rigid plastic, but there’s quite a bit of flex to them. The quality seems to be comparable for the price, so the value is there if you think they’ll work for you.

  36. Rated 5 out of 5

    Perfect fit, easy to use

  37. Rated 5 out of 5

    Love it. It works great.

Work perfectly. Had my doubts about the dogs being able to push them out but they are remarkably surdy in the window.

Perfect for what I needed for the car windows. No one can reach in now when the dogs are in the car and the dogs can’t jump out.

Look well made. My only complaint is why would you sell these as singles? I thought I was ordering a pair. Seems silly to me. Ordered a second one, but unfortunately it won’t be here in time to use it this weekend. My bad for not paying attentithat the product was not sold in pairs.

  41. Rated 5 out of 5

Easy to install and remove when needed. Highly recommend!

  42. Rated 2 out of 5

But the reasI bought it was so that I could give my puppy some air flow without risking her jumping out the window. This screen allows virtually no wind through it, so the purchase was basically pointless.

This is a great product. I was afraid it was going to be cheaply made but not so. It it is exactly what I hoped it would be and works great!!

My dog used this product once and it’s officially trash! Read the reviews and thought it would be great except it’s not! Don’t waste your money of this product!

This product works very, very well for the purpose it’s designed for; that is, keeping your pets contained in your vehicle with the windows open a few inches. We have a Toyota Sienna van, so we ordered 4 truck gates. They fit in the front and back windows in opposite directions, because of the slant of the windows, slotted edge down in both, of course. They fit securely and we are confident that our dogs (40 lb and 12 lb) are both well confined and well ventilated in mild weather. I don’t know how well they would work for a very energetic small dog if he/she became excited by something outside the vehicle. I doubt that a large dog could escape with the windows only open about 5 inches, at least in the Sienna. I don’t think they would keep any valuables safe if a thief could see them inside the car or wanted to steal your dog. I also think that in very warm weather your animals would not be safe for any significant length of time; they only let the windows open about 5 inches. But you shouldn’t keep an animal in a hot car in the summer for any length of time even with all the windows wide open.

Terrible! Very flimsy, this flew right out my back window, I lost it along with my $12.

  56. Rated 5 out of 5

Good product! I use it all the time for my dogs. I got one for each back window in black to match the truck. Only misleading comment was the “extra large”. I was the same size as an old one I had.

  57. Rated 3 out of 5

They might work with some vehicles, but unfortunately the vehicle I bought it for has curved windows. When the grate in installed it goes straight across the top of the window, but the back of the window is left wide open to allow anyone to reach in. (not that it would be a good idea, the grate if for their safety, not my dogs.) I wanted to ensure my dog wouldn’t get bothered by people, but this simply does not fit the vehicle. The plastic of the material seems sturdy enough, but I don’t think I would feel like my car is secure from anyone who wanted to pull it out of the window.

I drive a Ford Ranger 4×4. I bought the larger size, but they don’t fit my truck at all. When installed, they leave a gap at the front of the window large enough for a big man to get his whole arm through, and if you just tug the edge the whole thing pops out – allowing a thief to steal my German Shepherd. Unfortunately, this is a cheap fail. Silly me didn’t keep the packaging so I could return it, so it’s my loss.

These are great and we used them a Chrysler Town and Country mini van. It did leave a space the front of the window but with medium sized (40 – 60 lbs) this wasn’t a problem and they are very sturdy.

Nice to be able to keep the windows open wider, even when the dog is not in the car.

I have a 2013 Subaru Outback. I needed a way to vent the car when we are parked. The gate fits well and allows me to open the window about 6″. I have a barrier that confines my pup to the Cargo area so I don’t know how sturdy these are if you have a dog trying to escape. I purchased 2 for cross ventilation. I attend many dog events that require us to wait in the car. So far all is good. I would recommend this item

Great product, I would definitely recommend! They help give my dogs a nice breeze if I need to run into the store and safe & cool when driving down the highway. They aren’t made of the sturdiest materials but for the price a great buy.

Best investment, can leave my dog in the car for a quick shopping without worrying. (of course when it’s not too hot) . Tried it out myself lol.

These fit perfectly in my SciXB and are great for short periods of time a cooler or warm, breezy day. I would not leave my dog in the car even with these a hot day with these. It took us a couple of tries to get them installed correctly but once we got the hang of it, they were easy to quickly install. They also seem pretty sturdy. I believe you would have to break the window to get them out.

We use these one our Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew Max Truck for our three dogs.Fits the rear extra wide power windows well. The bottom edges fits over the window glass while he top blade edge fits snuggly into the window trac. Very secure, plenty of air or cross ventilatiwhen using one in each window. Even while driving, the air is baffled and sound lessened so you can travel with the grate in place and feel perfectly safe. And just added it fits our power rear window in the Crew Cab as well.We highly recommend these units

Great idea….i use it for big dogs all 4 windows at night when i go to the gym…..they get enough air and are secure in the car.people tend to stay away from the car when they spot the dogs and barriers….so nobody bothers the dogs.

It doesn’t really fit into a van window. There’s a big gap from the slanty part of the window. The dogs can jump out

These are almost sufficient and they are sturdy. I purchased the truck size truly hoping that they would provide more air flow. They fit pretty much the same as the regular model. I had the same concern with the original model. Someone needs to make these so that the window can be lowered MUCH more for air flow.Never rely these to leave your pet in the car as ventilatiis not sufficient enough for a mildly warm day, much less a hot one. I use these when I am reading inside my parked car as well, so my kitty doesn’t climb out.It is much better than nothing in the back windows, but they can stand much improvement. They don’t work front windows.

These are completely pointless. By the time you make them as wide as a wide window, they only allow about 3″ of opening. If my window were only open 3″, only a chihuahua would be able to fit it’s head out that, and a chihuahua isn’t tall enough to get up that high. As for using it when the car is parked (I know it says you’re not supposed to, but come on, that’s why we all ordered it, right?), no one could get their arm in and reach down to unlock the door in that 3″ opening anyway. So again, pointless.

So glad I bought these. Its not safe for dogs to hang their heads out the window anyways. They can get eye issues, dirt, dust, rocks anything to the face. These fit great in my Jeep Grand Cherokee (minus a slight hole the one side due to my window not being a complete square) and I have the window down as far as I can stretch the gate but overall it it great sense of security. She can’t jump out and they are very sturdy.

  80. Rated 3 out of 5

Fit well my Honda pilot but when its warm out I’m not convinced these allow the windows to be open enough for sufficient airflow. I do not put my dogs in hot cars hot days but I would need to be pretty cool…mid/low 70’s before I would consider leaving them with these… However, this is better than only cracking windows about an inch as I see all too often and dogs panting like crazy inside. 🙁

  81. Rated 4 out of 5

I like this item very much. I bought two for each side of the vehicle. I wish it was made of a more durable material that can’t be compromised by an attempted break-in. Be careful, it must be lined up exactly with the channels of the window and make sure a the grooves are all the window glass. I have plastic window shades at the top of each window. Because one of the gates wasn’t lined up, it broke a piece off the window shade. It was easily repaired with glue and tape (the shade), but lining up the gate is slightly tricky and you must be careful.

They fit well in a 2016 Hyundai Elanta, front or rear windows, but they are no larger than the regular sized ones sold for about a $1 less. Moreover, I just bought the regular sized ones (exactly the same as the ones that sells for $11.90) for $4 at Olie’s Discount Store.

Gave away 2 of these, purchased nearly 30yrs ago, to friend leaving for Nevada with 2 dogs. Like these even better — bigger, stronger, allow more air space.

We like to take our dog with us when the weather is good but cracking the windows for air but not so low that someone can reach in was always problematic. This work well; they have been tested both a Honda Fit and a Honda CRV. I wish they came in some type of metal though.

  88. Rated 5 out of 5

These are great. I’ve used this type of window gate for 13 years and I still have one of the originals. Still functions well. I bought two new ones, because these said XL for pick ups. They are a little bit larger. Gives about an extra inch of open window depth when in place. Properly placed theses are very sturdy and I’ve never had a problem with an animal getting out. I have pulled them from the outside and they barely wiggle. I use them more to protect stupid people who try to pet unkown dogs through an open windows. My dogs have never showed signs of aggression, but I feel it is better safe than sorry. These will not keep your car cool in warm weather. DO NOT leave pets in car in warm weather.
