The bags are really great, but I’m not fond of the smell at all. It’s labelled as Lavender smell but it just smells perfumey to me and not like lavender. I should have ordered the unscented instead. Other than the smell preference it’s a great bag. I’m not sure about the biodegradable part but hoping it is.

We have many rolls of these bags – in almost every pocket and in the cars (of course!) – and we love them. They are perfect in size, unobtrusive, relatively easy to open, long enough to tie securely, and hide the contents while walking. We’ve been using these bags for our large dogs for years – so why write a review now? It’s the wonderful little holder that is making life so easy while house training our new puppy. We’re using an x-pen with a ground cover mat to train the puppy to use a specific area of the yard and of course taking the baby pup out many times a day (and night). It’s annoying to make a 3:30 am dash to the pen and realize that you don’t have a bag. We bought the dispenser to attach to the x-pen and now there’s always a bag available when we need it. It’s surprising how such a little thing can make such a difference. Easy to load, easy to pull off a bag and seems to work well.

There are other bags that I could buy in greater quantities, and there are other bags that are cheaper per bag. I get these ones because they very rarely tear without cause, they come in a 900 pack with 2 extra holders, and they don’t break the bank in the process. Because it comes with so many bags and extra holders, whenever a friend of mine gets a puppy and I haven’t got anything as a puppywarming gift, I will put a bunch of these in a zip lock with one of the extra holders and give that to them. The only thing I don’t like is the strap that comes with the holder. I think it’s terrible, and replace it with my own clip straight away (a snap hook and keyring). I think asking the company to change that is the wrong idea though, because everyone is different and they’ll likely never please everyone with whatever they use.

These are great – you might as well buy in bulk unless your dog has plans to stop pooping sometime soon. I love the hook the bag dispenser so that I no longer have to carry a poop bag and my coffee in the same hand. I also like that these are at least relatively earth-friendly (in terms of dog bags). They don’t have that weird powdery plastic feeling that other bags do, and while they feel thinner (in a good way) I’ve never had one break or split me.

I can’t even begin to explain the torment we’ve put ours through and it’s still working! These little things are very durable. It comes with a strap that actually holds really well. We strapped it to our dogs leash handle, and we never have to worry about who brought the poop bags again! Very easily filled. We buy random bags at PetSmart and Walmart and they all fit. I love it!

Does what it is intended to do, but it is somewhat difficult to get the bags out when needed. The standard roll of bags fits quite tightly in the holder but even after some bags are used it is still difficult to get bags out when needed. It may need a slightly bigger hole or for it to be positioned in a different place to really be ideal. Otherwise the product is fine and should last.

These 900 count bags have lasted us 1 whole year for two large-breed dogs, being used daily. They are nice and thick, and the bag holders are reliable because unlike other waste bag holders that have a cheap & easily-breakable “metal” clip, these have have a little adjustable velcro strap that is quiet and dependable. The whole thing has lasted us a whole year without a single issue! We have purchased another order of these because they are the best ones our family has ever used. Highly recommend 🙂

I’d say this is a pretty perfect poop bag holster. Perfectly fits the Earth Rated rolls – can attach to your leash, or your belt, or whatever. Maybe my favorite thing about it though, is that it stops the whole poop bag roll from unspooling. This makes carrying these around so much more manageable. Now get out there and pick up some poop!

This is the second time we’ve ordered this bag/dispenser combo, because the dispenser really is pretty good. It threads together securely and I’ve never had the roll of bags drop out. I personally just grind and sand the belt clip off so it doesnt snag things and it works out well. But the bags.. they are about the most obnoxiously strong things I’ve ever smelled. Like an overpowering cheap-perfume smell. I threw them out when they arrived, washed and scrubbed the empty dispensers twice, soaked them for several hours in vinegar, left them outside all day, and the odor still fills a two-bay garage overnight. Now imagine what that smells like mixed with dog droppings..

Best poop bags. These are the only ones I use now. A weird thing to have a favorite of, I know, but…Bags feel substantialSmell is nice, and masks/blocks smell from the stuff inside really well compared to other bagsThe bag holders it comes with are great. Functional, and not shaped like a bone.

Love it! So convenient and the bags are strong. Seems like it will hold up for a while I have dropped the leash a couple of times and the container has not even opened. The only thing I would change is the strap I’d prefer a clip or shorter velcro so it doesn’t hang as low. Very pleased. I ordered the same bags for the refills but it looks like any 15 roll pack will fit.

Very good value. The bags are easy to open and the perforations to separate them allow them to separate easily. The dispensers are designed well. The bottom piece has a stud that the bags sit then simply screws to the other piece. Very easy to replace bags. The little hook the back of the dispenser works really well to hold the poop bag. There is a Velcro strap that you can use to attach it to something. I attached mine to my retractable leash quite easily.

Works better than my cloth dispenser that has a zippered closing & a rubber hole opening for bags. The rubber opening makes it so hard to get the bags out so I decided to try these. I was thinking this would be cheaper but it’s well designed & works better. Bags come out better & easier. I bought 3 of these & I am happy I did. One feedback mentioned the dispenser unscrews itself open, I have never had that issue with any of my 3. I believe that other customer must be rubbing the dispenser against something/himself while walking to accomplish that.

I’ve had a couple of these before but don’t think I was aware the clip was to hold a bag once you gathered up the poop – good to know!As I recall I did have two problems when I first used them. I suppose they are big issues but I found work arounds so I’m okay with them:1. The two parts would come unscrewed, leaving me with a top but no bags. I’m just going to secure the pieces with a bit of electrical tape and that should keep everything together.2. The Velcro that holds the carrier to the leash (or whatever) came loose. I’m securing these with safety pins.Happy to have them – I took a leash the other day that didn’t have poop bags, but thankfully had some spare plastic bags in the car. Needless to say I attached one to this Leah. The second is a spare. – it was a bargain for the two of them. Thank you, seller!

I already had a gadget for my bags, but the design for this one interested me so I thought I’d try it – I’m glad that I did. It has Velcro band to attach to my leash & it’s long, so you can make it as tight or as loose as you like. What I was clever was the little hook side in which to attach the bag once it’s fillled. It’s a keeper. Also, love the scented bags because who wants to smell poop?!

We got a puppy and although we’ve had dogs before, we had a yard and cleaned up with a shovel – now, we live in an apartment and needed bags. We had no idea what to buy so at first we bought some that were inexpensive in comparisto others thinking it didn’t matter. BOY, were we wrong! So once we made it through those, I called my daughter and asked her what they use and she suggested these. I have never been so happy not to feel like I’m holding poop in my bare hands. Eww. These are heavier than other bags, easier (SO MUCH EASIER) to open the end after you tear it off, and they smell nice, too! I would give this product 10 stars if I could!!

Sturdy green capsule allows you to attach it to your leash with the included velcro strap. There is a handy hook designed to hang the used bag so you don’t have to carry it in your hands before you discard it. The 15 included bags have a strong and pleasant floral scent that masks the poop smell. Not sure if they are compostable or just biodegradable. The butterfly-shaped sticker holding the roll comes off easily and without tearing the bag. The roll of bags loads by unscrewing the capsule. But be sure to hold the roll with your thumb when tearing off the bag, as we mistakenly pulled out 3 our first pull.Good purchase.

These are the BEST! I love not having to worry about grabbing bags before taking the pupper places! The bag holder is small and super lightweight! My ONLY thought is I would like the holder to be in other colors so it matches pupper’s leash! 🙂 I have a 16 pound Frengle pup and we are going through about one roll a week.

I like that there is a hook the back for the used bag, I also like that you can fill these with any dispenser and they will still work, I would be a better product if they were to use a carabiner instead of velcro because the velcro is probably not going to last. The bags are good too, the smell is ok, not the best not the worst.

I love the bags. They are big enough and good quality. The fragrance is pleasant. The container is ok. It is good quality, but I wish there were a loop at the bottom as well. I like to attach the dispenser to my dog’s harness.

I really like this doggy bag dispenser and the scent of the bags is really nice too. Mine hasn’t fallen apart or unscrewed itself, which is nice because I was a little hessitant about ordering this after reading that in the reviews.I recommend this product it’s really nice I would buy it again.

I love the dispenser and that they’re biodegradable (truly the most important thing to me, and now I won’t feel bad about throwing them out), however I would be remiss not to point out that these smell absolutely ghastly. The fragrance is supposedly essential oil derived but I wonder which ones they used. Because these do not smell like lavender at all. They smell like synthetic sweet garbage, and the smell permeates the room in which these bags reside.

We’re very happy with our purchase! When you share your life with a petite 105 Lb Rhodesian Ridgeback and live in a fourth floor-flat, a supply of large, high-quality poop-bags is a must. These bags are large enough to handle the output (you can even use two hands to scoop.) Additionally, they are heavy-weight thickness so no break-through, ripping or other failures. I also appreciate that they are opaque, it’s pretty obvious what you’re carrying, but it’s so nice not to have to see it. All of these great features at a price that is less than the low-quality, small blue bags at our local pet store! Highly recommended!

I’ve been trying to give up using plastic bags since they are so bad for the environment, so I’ve been looking for some eco-earth bags that would leave me feeling a little less guilty. I found these bags that break down (unlike plastics) and I use them as produce bags.I was really surprised with how sturdy, thick, and strong the bags are. I was worried that they would be really thin and rip easily. I have tugged them and stretched them, and yet they hold up great. I also LOVE the scent of these bags. They smell so pleasant and nice. It really masks the scent of whatever garbage or waste you put inside. I hate when scented bags are so strong and intense, and actually make things smell worse. This is not the case for these bags — best smelling bags out there!!The container/dispenser is also really nice and compact. It’s easy to open and close, but doesn’t come loose. The adjustable straps are nice for securing the container. I hook this onto my grocery bags when I go to the store. People look at me weird for using these bags for my produce, but I don’t care lol. The container makes it so convenient to take with me and is always within hands reach. These bags are great!

I’m not going to have to buy poo bags for at least a year now! These bags have a nice lavender scent to help mask the poo smell and work extremely well. They are plenty big enough to put your hand in to pick up the mess and have enough room to tie it off. The poo bag dispenser screws together so it doesn’t come apart by itself and has a nice Velcro strap to keep it secure wherever you put it. It also has a nice little clip the side to hold the bag of poo until you can dispose of it. Awesome product!

It is a nice bag holder, but if you don’t buy bags with the little cardboard tube in the middle, the holder wont work with them. There is a little stick attached to the lid that goes in the middle of the cardboard tubing to make them spin inside easily. I bought a 1000 pack of bags and cant us them in this holder because they don’t have the cardboard tubing in the center.

Other than the painfully ugly color, this is a very clever little device. I have one of the Basic dispenser, but I bought this to leave at my son’s with leashes and stuff I don’t want to haul back and forth. I love the adjustable Velcro strap that lets you attach this where you like, and the hook back to carry used bags until you reach a trash receptacle (there’s just something awkward about stopping to chat with someone while holding a bag of dog poop in you hand). I’d order a second one for home if they’d only offer better colors 🙂

The holder and bags are fine, I just don’t love the Velcro attachment. Would rather have had a clip. That’s not entirely the product’s fault. It clearly shows what it comes with, I just didn’t know what I wanted at the time. The bags have never torn me and do their job. I like that they’re biodegradable.

These are the best bags I’ve found. They’re heavy duty and easy to open. I’ve thrown them across the yard trying too get them to the trash can and they do not bust. Very handy. It’s also nice that they are printed so you can see what end opens. Nothing more frustrating than trying to open one of these kinds of bags from the wrong end.

I’ve been purchasing these bag holders and bags for a couple years now. I’ve tried a lot of different bag dispensers, and these are my favorite. They’re just simple and the bags come out easily every time without the bottom easily falling off. My only suggestiis the velcro strap is a little thin and I’ve had them break before – I just then find another way to secure it to the leash. But at a low price point, not a big deal. I love that their products are eco-friendly and biodegradable. I use these both for my dog and dogs at the shelter I volunteer with.

Yes!!! This is everything it needs to be. I can’t believe how many bag dispensers we have gone through over the years, but finally I think we have one that will stick around. 1. The velcro loop attachment is not going to fall of your leash handle, regardless of what type of leash you have. 2. The bottom is not going to fall out leaving you bagless halfway through your walk and none the wiser (our biggest issue with other dispensers) because there’s an actual screw bottom rather than flimsy clips that either don’t let you in to change the bags easily or don’t stay clipped in and the bags continuously fall out. 3. It fits standard bags. And top of all that it has a little clip to carry your filled poop bags for the remainder of your walk? WIN!

We have been using these bags for over 5 years now. Wouldn’t switch to snything else. I walk the neighbors dog and use her bags and am always afraid they will rip and tear, which they sometimes do. But never fear with my bags.

This is the best waste bag dispenser that I have owned. It is lighter than many of the other ones that I have owned, and it has a “nook”/latch to hold a bag that is already full, so I don’t have to hold it with my free hand.I don’t use the Earth Rated bags, however, I order separate bags that do NOT have a core in them, and they work perfectly fine. The top will have a spindle that comes down into the center of the bags, but I haven’t had a problem yet dispensing the bags.

The bags are the perfect thickness and size that makes it easy to scoop and knot closed. This little dispenser works great so far and seems like it will last. I bought the large, tissue type dispenser of the same brand as well b/c it seemed practical for grabbing a bag before heading out, but so far this is all we have been using since it’s conveniently dangling from the leash already. The scent isn’t overpowering, but it’s definitely there… I know over time I will become familiarized with it and won’t even notice it anymore. Hopefully, it will help with the trash can odor.

Nice strong bags with mild pleasant scent. Bag holder works great and I like the clip the back to hang the used bags instead of having to carry smelly bags in your hand until you get home. I am also very pleased with the seller of this product, Oliver’s pet supplies. I first received the wrong size of bags without holders and the vendor was very responsive as soas I had contacted them and they immediately rectified the order and I got my correct order right away. I would definitely buy these bags again and will definitely buy them from this seller!

I originally bought just the refills from Petco but once I needed a replacement, I came to to get some more & to buy the dispenser with it this time. I love these bags! The scented ones are great to help cover up the smell. I even used the little hang tab the other day when we were hiking and there was no place to dispose of the waste. Definitely recommend these bags!

I have used these for over two years. I purchased the ones that were lavender scented but found they were too strong of a scent. I am glad that they now offer an unscented version. The bags are just the right size for even a large pile of waste. The holder is simple and durable. They did not advertise that the little clip the egg shaped holder is for hanging the knotted bag full of waste while you continue your walk. Works well even with two full bags. Two thumbs up!

I really like this nifty poop bag dispenser. One tip is if you are walking your dog at night , the bags can be a bummer to separate from the roll. I usually pre separate the bag just a little bit before heading out. Also, no scent is pleasant when it’s paired-up with poop smell. Go with the unscented bag refills when the lavender scented bags run out. I found that combo quite nauseating.

I bought these bags to take with us a trip to the coast. We took our dog and stayed at a dog friendly motel where we needed to take him out every few hours. These bags are convenient and sanitary! They also worked good while the road when we needed to pull over for potty runs. The bags are hefty and are in a roll inside of the dispenser. The dispenser can attach to the lease. Good investment!

I don’t know how much I should praise poop-bags, but these are fantastic. I’ve been using them for almost two years now and I made the switch after a different brand of bags tore mid-pickup. These are thicker than the average pickup bag, so it hasn’t happened with these and I don’t think it ever will.a different note, the scenting works really really well. I have a small dog with social and separational anxiety disorders, so even though he is nearly two he still requires puppy pads when left alone. Since it is inside, it goes in the kitchen trash. Before switching, this was a real hassle. The whole house smelled if it wasn’t taken out immediately. The Lavender scenting made that all go away, and now my kitchen doesn’t have to smell like stale urine and poop for a few days (hooray for apartment living and annoyingly difficult trash pickups).-The only thing I would mentias a cautiis that these bags are slightly taller than nearly all of the others, so if you use a different despenser it is a tight (and annoying) fit.-Biodegradable Canadian products for the win!

Love the design! Simple but well designed. The dispenser is pretty high quality for the price you pay. I bought the dispenser and refills of the bags all in lavender scent. I had read previous reviews about the scent not lasting very long, but it smells great and honestly the scented ones are the same price as the unscented bags, so I don’t see how anyone could complain!I’m excited to take my little pup more walks, I love these!

I’ve gone through maybe four of these in the last four years. The bottom part that connects falls off during walks sometimes, causing you to lose your entire roll sometimes. This problem is so bad with this product that I would find the bottom part randomly the streets of Chicago due to others experiencing the same problem. I would pick that spare piece up and store it for the next time it happened for me. It’s time to move to a better bag holder. Also, why does this product have the word earth in it? And why are they pushing all the green branding so much? What do they do as a company to minimize their impact the environment?

I like the simple design and the way the bags smell. The bags do not smell like “lavender”, but definitely much more pleasant than a non-scented bag. The bag size is convenient and the quality of it is great. The bags tear off easily and cleanly from one another. The dispenser has a velcro attachment so that you can adjust the size and attach the dispenser to different leashes/carriers, as necessary–very smart feature.

I bought this specifically because of the design of the mechanism that attaches to the leash, i.e. the velcro strap and the recessed slot it goes through the body. Most of these devices use a simple little loop the outside of the body, which has a tendency to eventually break. There’s no way that this will happen here. So 5 stars the design of that. However, for whatever reason, they decided to only include one ‘spike’ for the roll of bags to sit on. So once the roll is in and the thing is closed, it has a tendency to not sit centered while you pull out a bag and will tilt to one side and rub against either the spike (bad angle) or the bag against the body of the device, which makes it rather hard to pull out a single bag without also sticking your finger in the hole to push the roll away from the opening so as to somewhat recenter it while pulling. That part of the design is just plain stupid, so gets 0 stars. It either needs a second matching spike (from the other half of the device), or the first one needs to be twice as long. Not sure why they skipped the second spike, as it would have made it the absolute perfect bag dispenser.I might just snap out the piece that’s there and replace it with a long solid screw or metal rod of some kind. Properly anchored in place it should take care of the problem.

Perfect size for car and travel. We keep one in each car so we aren’t caught with nothing to pick up the poo. You can put it in the glove compartment (doesn’t take up much room, fits in the palm of your hand) or hang it. There’s a small strap to hang it (attach to your dog leash at top) and there is also a clip, to use with a belt or pocket (car seat pocket or pants pocket).

I walk our two dogs together, so attaching it to one of the leashes was a bad idea as they get twisted up sometimes. I use a metal carabiner to attach it to one of my belt loops and we’re “good to go.” 🙂 I’m not a fan of the lavender scent the bags and will be using unscented bags when these are used up. Great accessory for dog walking.

This little thing is a life saver!! It attaches so easily to your leash, the bags are easily despensed and reloaded! I loved the bags that came with it so much, I ordered an entire box of them (which by the way, smell ing if you get the lavender scent which helps mask the poop smell while walking, lol!) You can’t beat the quality nor price! If they stay like this, I will be a customer for life!

These bags are the greatest ever! The smell great- almost a bit too strong but trust it’s so much better than poop smell. I have a mini-schnauzer so take that into consideration. The size of the bag is just right. It rolls just fine. An improvement to the dispenser would be a key ring to attach closer/tighter to leash but again great product overall. I think it turns out to be 3 cents a bag.

We just moved into a new house and I’ve spent tons of time and money getting the yard/grass presentable. I didn’t want our new puppy to destroy it with mounds of poop. These bags are awesome. We’ve probably been through 2 dozen rolls with only 1 bad bag. The lavender scent is pleasant but not overly laden with perfume. They’re strong enough to handle a decent load and survive a 1-2 mile walk, while swinging from the supplied hook. AND they’re biodegradable, so you don’t have to feel bad about using them. This ain’t rocket science but it beats a crappy lawn and it’s better than using old walmart and kroger bags. For reference, I’m using these a 25lb rescue. Buy with confidence.

I was so pleased with the thickness and easy dispensing rolls. We’ve purchased several other brands and I hands down believe that so far these are the nicest quality so far. I know it seems weird to care what poop goes in, but I really don’t need to get detailed when I say thicker = better for hands!

Absolutely fantastic! I love the long length of these bags that really help you get “it” all in and no need to waste extra bags by doubling up. It’s thick enough so it won’t tear, and the smell stays inside. The holders are very nice too, comes with a clip to hold your used “doo” so you don’t have to awkwardly hold onto them while waiting to get home! Custom fit so it stays inside and even down to the little sticker is great; usually it tears a hole removing, stayed in one piece! More expensive than the usual bags I get, but so much more worth since it’s less headaches.

I purchased one of these dispensers years ago but recently lost it. I tried two other bag dispensers before giving up and looking for this specific one (it had been so long that I couldn’t remember the brand name). I’ve never had any trouble with getting bags out of the dispenser, even generic poop bags from Petsmart (which are fine but the Earth Rated bags are definitely superior). I absolutely love the hook for holding used poop bags. I have 2 dogs and the hook makes it much easier to handle both dogs and two full bags of their business. The Velcro strap feels cheap and flimsy but it’s surprisingly strong and long-lasting. I replaced it with a key ring so that I could attach the dispenser to a carabiner to more easily transfer it (and some other stuff) from leash to leash, but I used the Velcro strap for years without any problems.

I really like this holder even though the poopy bags I have don’t have the core inside them, I’m able to just put them directly the stick. I did have the strap break twice already. Company sent me replacements, but most recently, I had the actual stick break inside the holder but i can still use it for its intended purpose so i guess its ok due to my bags, but if i had the core, id probably want it to be there.

It’s hard to say I “love” a poop bag dispenser, but I do love this one. The little clip that allows you to clip the poop bag to it once it’s full of poo is a game changer. And the bags that come with it are really good quality. They’re a lot thicker and bigger than some others that we have purchased. And when you have a 110lb german shepherd….. size matters…..

I really didn’t like this product.I will say upfront that my main complaints are with the dispenser itself. The bags themselves might be good, they might be bad, they just really didn’t make an impressime one way or another (though I do now use another brand of bag instead). The dispenser is small. While this makes it easy to carry while walking the dog, it also makes it difficult to load with bags and get them lined up perfectly. Once loaded, I personally found the opening too small to pull the bag through; it was either difficult to get a grip the end of another bag or, if you already had some of the bag sticking out, it was liable to get caught things and be unrolled further. Neither is an ideal situation. top of that, as other reviews have mentioned, this is made of cheap plastic and manufactured quickly. It doesn’t feel high quality and I always felt like it would break if I dropped it (it didn’t, but I also didn’t use it for long). The screw cap to install a new roll is also finicky. I didn’t have it just fall off as some reviews mentioned, but anytime the dispenser bumped against something the cap would become looser. It got to the point where I was just automatically checking the cap every few minutes a walk. I didn’t realize how much of an annoyance this was until I stopped using this dispenser and was free from that repetitive task.Do yourself a favor and avoid this dispenser. There have to be better ones out there, and there are even leashes now that have small pockets in them for dog waste bags.

Carrying bags of poop by hand is now a thing of the past! The clip the back seems so simple yet is truly a genius idea. I don’t understand why all dispenser don’t come with these nifty clips! As a professional dog walker, I am incredibly pleased with this product and will no longer use any other! I have truly put this clip to the test and it is strong enough to hold several bags at once. The bags that come with it are also the strongest and best quality of bags I have ever used. The funny thing was that I wasn’t even aware how flimsy and cheap my other poop bags were until I started using these Earth Rated bags! Which is ironic because I only bought this dispenser because of the clip, having no idea that I would fall in love with the bags as well! I just ran out of the roll that came with my dispenser and going back to my regular rolls was a huge disappointment. After using high quality bags it is hard to go back! Thank you so much Earth Rated! I am definitely a fan of your products and will continue to recommend them in my line of work 🙂

I can’t tell you how many cheap bone shaped dog bag holders have broken me. Or how whatever was holding my house key to the leash fell off but this thing has stood the test of drops and normal wear and tear for me. I’m also able to securely attach my house key through the (strong) Velcro that attaches this holder to the leash. My key and the holder itself are both way more secure and longer walks the back hook feature is a great additiso that I can attach it and continue a long walk without having to hold a full bag. A+ product!

I purchased these bags 2 years ago. I liked the biodegradable in 2 years selling point. I just did not realize that must have meant I only have less than 2 years to use 900 bags. I have 45 rolls of bags left that fall apart in my hands when I try to unroll them. I store them inside my home. They were great until now. Very disappointed.

I actually ordered two of these for my fiance because I already have one that is still in perfect working order. I bought it probably 4 years ago or more. I really like that it uses a velcro strap to attach it to the lease instead of a cheap plastic clip like most poop bag holders. Another bonus is the hook the back side of the poop bag holder that can hold your use poop bag after you have tied it off so you don’t have to carry your dog’s full poop bag in your hand for the rest of the walk. I really love this product and would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is that if you get a really big roll of dog poop bags it may not fit in here, but I have only come across this a few times in the years I have had this product.

Second order of 900 bags. Two large English Labs and often visiting pups belonging to our kids means going through a goodly number of bags. Have never had a leak or break. They’re longer than many bags the market … by a small amount, but just enough to aid in a ‘clean’ pick up. Have been through several manufacturers and all suffer from regular or sporadic quality issues – yuck. These are consistent and easy to use. From now on, these are the go-to item for pup maintenance. I originally thought the dispensers were a gimmick. Not so. Someone took time to create these. Easy to get a new roll in. The exit hole is large enough to extract a bag when needed … quickly. Gotta give these folks kudos for a really good product tailored to the functithey were designed for. Thanks!

This is so easy to put the leash and have poop bags everywhere. I thought it would be a pain to have it hanging from the leash, but it actually doesn’t bother me. The only drawback is that the velcro to attach it to the leash sometimes catches the leash and makes it fuzzy. But all in all, really great. Also, I love the clip for hanging the used bags.

If these had been mediocre all along, it might not be such a let-down. But these used to be a terrific product, and changes (whether to cut costs or for some other reason, I don’t know) have made them kinda ‘meh’. Overall, I’m just disappointed. I’ve been using these for nearly 3 years and they just aren’t as good as they once were. The form is great, and the dispensers are handy. But I find myself looking for an alternative.Over time, the scent has been reduced, which isn’t such a bad thing because it was a little overbearing when I first started buying these. But they used to really contain the odor and they no longer do that as well. This is because, as the the scent has gotten lighter, they’ve also gotten increasingly thin. I can rationalize this, up to a point, as being easier and faster to biodegrade. But these days, I’m crinkling my nose during our walks, no matter how short.Because we live in a townhouse, we don’t have an exterior spot to hide the stink, so we use a high-end, stainless steel diaper pail, which is regularly cleaned. This combinatiused to result in a nearly odorless environment. But with the thinner bags, things are very unpleasant. I suppose I should’ve seen it coming, as every time I’ve ordered these they’ve been thinner than before. (Though for some reason, they seem to keep trying to make improvements to the dispenser’s lock so it doesn’t unexpectedly come open. Unfortunately, this actually makes it harder to quickly change out rolls of bags.)

I ordered these bags to use with a poop scooper but they are so small that it doesn’t fit. It’s more for a small hand to pick up small poops. Can’t use them and can’t return since I already opened the package. Giving them to someone with a small dog and doesn’t mind feeling the poops instead. The bags do smell good. It can be kept as air freshener.

Great dog poo bag dispenser! I’ve had a few of those cheapy ones you buy from the pet store, where the lid would always fall off, or the plastic was really cheap and would eventually crack. This one seems quite durable and easy to use. I like that it’s got a screw style of closure so that it won’t just randomly fall open and have your whole roll unravel (the worst). The bags themselves that came with it were also quite nice, thick and the right size. My apartment complex uses these clear bags that are super thin and way too big (think produce bags from the grocery store), and it’s really gross to pick up the poo and have it be so warm and have such a thin barrier… these bags are WAY better. Saved my hands and my gag reflex.

so far so good. My dog is quite the pooper our walks. I have had to problems with the bags ripping open or getting them out of the dispenser. It’s nice to not be using newspaper bags anymore. The dispenser has a velcro fastener that goes onto the end of the leash and it is no problem during the walks. It also has a hook the side to hold the bag once a knot has been tied. there is plenty of room to tie the knot so that is not a worry. Got replacement bags but have not gotten into those as of yet. Good product, good design so it should last a while, no moving parts!

I really like this dispenser that can hang off the handle of your dogs leash. The part that makes this bag dispenser unique is the plastic hook the body of the dispenser that allows you hook the used bag it. It is very convenient and comes in handy if there isn’t a close garbage can wherever you are walking your dog.

So far, so good. Just bought a different one before I got this one and it fell off my lease the first walk, couldn’t find it, it had a rubber notched band to connect to the leash, that’s the part that didn’t hold, what a waste. This one is velcro and , is holding good. I like that you have to unscrew this to change the roll, it doesn’t just pull apart, yes, I had one of those and it opened while running at the beach and the bags unrolled and got full of sand, GRRR!. Just get this one, I am satisfied . . . so far.

My last order for these was August 17, 2016. I’m just now reordering them August 15, 2017 and I still have 6 rolls left (have to accommodate for shipping). I have two dogs, so I’m glad that they lasted as long as they did. None of the bags that I’ve gone through ripped when I took them off the roll, none of them had any holes in them already. They hold quite a bit of dog poop (we have two XL dogs) even if we have to put both hands in the bag to pick up the poop. The scented bags do smell nice but they don’t mask the poop smell completely, BUT they do better than other bags we have used, which I’ll take over nothing.

I love these poop bags. I’m weirdly passionate about them, but picking up poop sucks so I’m very grateful for a product that makes it less unpleasant. The dispenser is convenient and sturdy. The bags are thick and long so that your hands don’t feel like they are going to break through when you’re picking up poop. Plus they’re more environmentally friendly than regular plastic bags.

Good bag thickness; I’d say slightly thicker than the black bags. Wish the unscented bags were easier to find, the smell of poo in a scented bag grosses me out a little. Love the fact that the center is cardboard, and the packaging can be recycled too. Yes, they’re double the cost of the black bags you can buy in bulk, but as I have to use an average of 3 bags/day it makes me feel a little better about my/our impact to the environment. And that’s worth it to me! Recommend.Lots of comments about the roll holder. While I’m not a huge fan of the Velcro as it can catch stuff if you’re not careful, I do dig the ease of attaching/detaching (the plastic clips can sometimes be a little fiddly I’ve found) and the clip the side.

Love these bags! I usually hate scented products, but these are subtle enough to not be offensive but still have a pleasant non-poop smell that you really appreciate when picking up poop.I’m not nuts about these bag dispensers (I have a great leash pocket I bought at Target!), but I also haven’t found something I like better that works well with thicker, rope-type leashes. I wrap the strap around the handle a few times before securing the velcro. This keeps it from swinging around, which is both obnoxious AND fuzzes up your leash handle. They fit great in the leash pocket, so you’re not locked into their dispenser.

You might not think that your choice of poop bag dispenser is gonna make much of a difference, but I beg to differ. As a dog walker, I’ve tried most every variety, and most of them are pretty similar. But this one? This one rules, and here’s why:1. It comes with a dozen bags2. It’s easy to open for refills, but doesn’t pop open during use.3. It comes with a velcro hanger that will fit any size leash or bag4. (the real game changer) the clip the back for holding tied bags!!After using this thing for a few weeks, there’s no going back (especially to dispensers without the clip the back). I just ordered refill (unscented) bags and I’ll update my review if I find any flaws, but as of now I’m completely satisfied.

These bags are wonderful. I like that you screw the bags in vs just pushing it together the bags don’t fall all over if you drop them like the other bag dispenser I have gotten before. the best thing is the bags open easily. Other bags I have gotten so not open easily but these within one try you can open pick up the poop and get your way. I’m not a fan of the lavender smelling ones it is very little smelling but it has ruined the smell of lavender for me, now I smell /think of poop when I smell it. Will do the regular going forward.

I usually do not leave reviews, but I had to with this product. I wish I could give these bags more than just 5 stars! Not only are the dispensers a wonderful item (I just latched them onto my pup’s leashes), but the bags themselves are a marvel. The lavender scent is so good at masking the smell of poop that I can literally put them in my kitchen trash and there is NO smell until I take the trash out. It’s important to note that the bag should be turned inside out before picking up the poop so that the smell is trapped the inside of the bag with the lavender scent. I will definitely be a return customer and I have recommended these bags to everyone I know!

I have a really large densely landscaped back yard, enormous dogs, and am very fussy with my gardening, so we pick up all of the poop as it happens so I can walk and work without worrying about stepping in poop. If I wait I either forget where I saw it, forget it entirely, or step in it (“What the eyes can’t find the feet will.”). Rather than carry bags with me as I garden or walk all the way back to the house for a bag I hung several of these little dispensers around the yard in handy areas in trees, fencing, plant hooks etc.. Now I am never too far away from a bag and if a dog has an event or I find a stealth pile it’s easy to pick up.The only issue with hanging them outdoors is rain- moisture gets inside the dispenser and the cardboard core of the roll swells up. This makes pulling the bags out dicey- they tear off prematurely and it’s hard to turn the roll to find the edge again. So I took off the bottom part of each dispenser and drilled two tiny holes in the bottom of each so the rain can drain out and the core not sit soaking in water. This fix has worked really well and perhaps the manufacturers might consider this modificatiin their next design revamp..I do very much love the bags themselves and especially how all my pockets smell like lavender now.

Switched to these bags from the biodegradable Bags Board. For unknown reasons those bags smell like urine to me. I remember just sniffing around like a crazy persfor the first week I got them until I realized it was coming from the bag itself. I thought it had something to do with whatever component made them biodegradable (although other reviewers are calling their biodegradability into question, so who knows).I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Earth Rated bags smell like nothing. After a few months of use (and repurchasing for the bulk order) I can also say that they don’t break easily when being ripped from the rest of the pack. I’ll probably have this bulk pack for a year or so, and so far so good.Regarding the little holder, I don’t remember what happened to it, I vaguely recall it breaking. However, I use a soft plastic/cloth one that one of my local nature parks gave out and the bags fit perfectly inside.

I LOVE this dispenser. The hook that you can hang your used bag makes poop patrol so much easier because everything hangs from the leash. My other hand remains free to wave at passersby or even answer my phone.I may order an additional one for my long leash so that I don’t have to take it off the everyday leash and attach it to the long one.Plus it looks like Planktfrom Sponge Bob Squarepants–all it needs is one red eye!

We have used these since we got our pup. (except once when we ran out) We have never had one of these bags rip us. Their holder has never fallen apart either. When I ran out without realizing it I used 2 other bag brands that our vet gave us, and neither held up at all. This time I ordered the 900 count to make sure I never run out unexpectedly again! I love the Earth Rated bags and the scent isn’t over powering, just enough to stop the stink. 🙂

I use these for both dog waste and for dirty diapers. The dispensers that come with it are great because they have a little hook you can slip the full bag into and not have to hold it for the duratiof the walk. The rolls also fit into our diaper organizer and we use them to put dirty diapers into before they go into the diaper pail. Who wants to push their hand into a pail when dirty diapers have been shoved in before and contaminated the opening? These contain the smell and are sanitary. We have been using them for about 2 years and we haven’t had a single faulty bag to date. These are a really great product.Edit: we have now gone through 5400 bags and still haven’t had a single faulty one. They also changed the sticker that seals the roll so that it comes off easier. I love this product!

Bought this because I was given a beautiful dog recently, and needed to clean up behind him. It works great, and the bags are nice and thick so I have little worry of them breaking. The only problem I have comes with the bags from Earth Rated and other brands so far (Arm and Hammer is another good example). The top of the carrier does not have a stabilizer for the bags like the bottom does, so the bags get canted really badly toward the end of the roll, and it takes some brute force to get the last few bags out. Most dispensers have a stabilizer each side of the bag carrier so the center rod stays centered and does not pull out at a strange angle.

I love this little gadget. It attaches nicely to my leash and the first few times I used it, it worked perfectly. However, the little plastic part the inside which keeps the bags securely in place broke off from the main receptacle almost immediately, and now the bags shift around inside, making it more difficult to find the edge of the next bag and pull it out. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars. I will mentithat there is a technique to opening the bags and it can be slightly cumbersome in the dark, but generally the bags open easily if I rub it together at the middle of the bag rather than trying to rub it open at the very top. One more piece of informatithat might be relevant for some people (it is for me because I am sensitive to fragrance) – I ordered the bags that claimed to be unscented, and these definitely have a fragrance. I am able to tolerate it, so will use them, but I was somewhat disappointed to end up with fragranced bags when I ordered fragrance free bags. The bags are a nice size and respectable weight – not so big that they are too heavy to carry around – but big enough to pick up all the business of a standard poodle in one bag :-). The bags are thick enough to be reliable but thin enough to make them easy to use.

I use these bags, they are great! the holder is awesome that you can hang the bag off of it instead of having to put the bag of poop in your pocket.. JK! I mean carry it yourself or tie onto the leash.Great smell, and it’s good that they decompose, although it sucks there isn’t a better way to dispose of them :/ they still go in the trash/to a landfill…I usually do a half-knot the bag bc my dog’s poops are relatively small/medium size, and then re-open to carefully use twice (generally in the same day, I leave the bag my porch or it’s a long walk/hike); makes the package go a long way!

I used to have one for 1.5 years, but due to my clumsiness, I lost one part. Very convenient, easy to pull out the bags (also the hole is really handy, unlike some other models). I had previously had a fabric poop bag holder which was ok but it ended up falling off somewhere because it’s attatchment piece wasn’t very durable. This one works very well and the bags it comes with smell GREAT. they actually do a very good job at covering up the smell! I will be repurchasing more scented bags… TOTALLY worth it when you are walking to dogs haha. The only negative is that sometimes the bags can be hard to get out. That is really only if you don’t pull the second bag through the opening a little bit before ripping off the first to use. I still really like the product though =) Great way to carry poop bags.

This is the best poop bag holder for pets. Easy to load the bags, love the clip the back which I use to hold a filled bag. Love the Velcro closure. My dog participates in Agility and Obedience trials so we attend a lot of training and sometimes I leave her lead but obviously don’t want a poop bag dispenser hanging the end of it. I love that I can remove and reattach it easily and repeatedly. Completely functional. My only wish was that it came in different colors – and bonus points it they made it a cute bone shape.

I just ran out of these, so a box has lasted almost a year! We have 2 dogs and had a foster for 6 months, so that’s pretty impressive. I do double-up sometimes 🙂 I like that they give you poop bag holders with this bulk purchase. My issue with the poop bag holders is that the bottom always falls off and gets lost — seems like a big waste. Otherwise, I like these bags and haven’t had any issues with them being too thin or breaking. I honestly don’t believe anything about them being more eco-friendly, but I guess it makes me feel better than purchasing the blue/pink ones from the pet store.

The last dispenser was partially lost after my pup took off running with his leash trailing behind. He came back but only half the dispenser remained. I ordered replacements for each pup a few weeks ago. One roll or bags down and already the plastic spindle in one of them has broken.***original review****I started buying these bags when I adopted my first dog 4 or so years ago. I’ve gone through thousands of these bags and not encountered a problem with one.The egg that holds the bag is another story. I’ve ordered several and each has been designed a little better and lasted longer than the one before it (either the clip that holds used bags broke or the spindle, the latter of which doesn’t affect use). Put another way, I am satisfied enough with the egg that I ordered one for my newly adopted dog’s leash.

I bought this container for the versatility of attaching it to my Flex leash. I typically use bags from dollar tree since I go through about 2-3 per day since I live in an apartment building with a tiny yard. I enjoy these bags so much I plan ordering more. Pros: bags are scented so you feel clean after picking up your dog’s poop (what an oxymoron), the plastic shell itself has taken a lot beatings because I have it hooked to her leash and she’s a puller. Bags are excellent quality and supposed to be biodegradable which is additional mental relief.Cons: hate the velcro strap–tried to have it hooked to the leash so I don’t forget it (whole point of buying it), and since she’s a puller has pulled the leash and then you try to hold via the dispenser and it literally pulls right off. Quit using the dispenser as a holding-tool but the velcro still kept getting unattached and the dispenser falling off somehow–it also gets hella dirty when dragged places. Eventually I abandoned the velcro and instead put a nice hefty carabiner clip holder onto the dispenser and then attached it to the leash via that. Now it works like a charm, is wherever the dog goes, and I’m happy.

It does the job. The bags are easy to remove and honestly I kind of like the lavender smell. It dissipates quickly so I can’t imagine it being too bothersome. My only suggestiwould be to include with a small carabiner rather than the thin velcro strap which is a little difficult to use. But all in all it does the job and I don’t worry at all about the bags breaking. Finally, the biggest benefit of these is they are large enough to tie after cleaning up the business. Other bags I have used don’t leave enough room to tie comfortably which makes it awkward.

Don’t believe the hype. Good not great. Can smell the poop through the bag. The bags go in the trash can in our garage and our garage now smells like a big deuce. Only way to prevent it is to double bag. Now if you plan to use the run and out and about, these work. They are durable and good size – just dont hold the smell in. Will likely try a different brand next go-around as these are a bit pricey for the qty as well. Scent is somewhat nice but mixed w/the poop smell it’s nauseating.

I am very pleased with these. They are biodegradable. I have noticed that other bags claim they are earth friendly but sometimes that means that they are made of recycled plastic which in my view is not as good as being biodegradable! The lavender scent is pleasant and not overpowering. These lose one star for being a bit the weak side, e.g. they can get tears easily. Not a problem for my small dog but it could be annoying with larger dogs.

Speaking purely from a utilitarian perspective, these are quality waste bags for dogs at a good price (the large box of green unscented going for $35 means each roll costs about $0.50). While the bags are not the thickest I’ve ever used, they are not like those paper thin ones that feel like your hand is going to rip through at any second. In a sense, they are just right. Additionally, that also makes it nice for separating the bags – they are easy to tear from one another and I never have any issues opening them either (**However, the blue stickers they put each new roll has a very strong adhesive and at first I almost always tore the part of the bag they were attached to. If you are impatient, this will mean you lose at least one bag per roll, but for the most part I have not had a consistent issue with this since I’m aware of it before trying to start a new roll). The other nice feature that comes in this pack is the hard plastic bag carrier. Although I certainly don’t need two of them in every box (more this later), they are of high quality twist-to-open and have a strong Velcro loop for attaching them to leashes, etc. Overall, taken just what was stated, and minus the stupid strong blue stickers each roll, these are a good purchase. However, after all of that, my biggest beef with these bags is the incredibly misleading brand labeling “Earth Rated.” The fact of the matter is other than the cardboard box these come in there is nothing recyclable or earth-friendly about these bags (it is only their paper thin, white waste bags that are technically biodegradable). They are plastic bags – straight and simple. Additionally, two other counts against its earth-friendliness is, first, the fact that you cannot purchase these larger boxes (which is the best deal the bags) without always getting the hard plastic bag carrier and, second, that if they really wanted to reduce waste they would manufacture the bags without an extraneous paper tubing in the center of every roll (I’ve purchased numerous other brands that are able to do this, which does a lot to cut down unnecessary waste). So, in conclusion, don’t be hoodwinked into thinking that these are “green” dog waste bags – they may not be the worst, but they are certainly far from the best in this regard. That having been said, they do the job well and at a good price.

I’m using these with two large puppies, now 40 pounds their way to 70 or 80 hopefully. When they go at approximately the same time, I’m able to use the same bag, rather than needing two. This bag is nice and long, which helps keep things neat, which is a plus. Having had a few bouts of diarrhea hit the pups, I can attest these bags hold up and don’t leak. It’s as good as wearing a latex glove to keep your hands clean. I love that these are long-term biodegradable in a span that lets the bacteria in the poop die off first. I’ll definitely keep buying these. Economical also.

This is my second bag bullet. The first one unscrewed while I was walking to dog and the bottom fell off — with the bags. So when my dog did his business and I reached for the bag, all I had was a dangling and empty half. This little device does what it is supposed to. It is compact and stores decent poop bags for easy retrieval, and attaches easily to the leash. If the top half and bottom half attached more effectively, I would give this five stars. But since it can work itself loose in a 2 mile walk, it clearly needs more threads, or tighter threads, to keep it from coming apart. So three stars.

Hands-down the best poop bags we’ve found for our two large (85 lbs.) dogs! These are high-quality large bags that actually tear off the roll with ease (unlike other brands we have tried). They are also thick enough to not worry about any nasty “accidents” while scooping up your dog’s business. The box is not as large as one would think – rolls are compactly stacked in a 9″ x 7.5″ x 5″ box which easily fits a shelf. This is a great deal for a whopping 900 bags, plus two bonus dispensers! I highly recommend them.

This is a very well-made, nicely designed bag dispenser. Mine did not have anything written the side just a small leaf logo. Didn’t care for the scented bags but it’s also available with unscented and that would be my only suggestihere.I also commend the customer service and follow up given by the seller. These guys give thoughtful attentito a very mundane product that is nevertheless something that sees vigorous use a daily basis.I bought it to replace the surprisingly flimsy one that came with an Basics set, which rather quickly tell apart. This one appears to be the last one I’ll need to buy. Very highly recommended.

I’ve been using these bags for a while now and the best part of them (other than the fact that they do what they’re supposed to) is the scent. They manage to keep the poop odor from permeating the atmosphere and leave your hands smelling nice. Good size, sturdy, and 30 bags a roll is adequate. I have a box of several of these that I’ve had for quite some time and the scent is still with them. Had to have another capsule for a second dog I just acquired — I thought about getting another type of waste bag and dispenser but I like this one so well that I decided to stay with the same product. Attaches easily to the braided leashes I have — very handy! Oh, the clip the side of the capsule is especially nice for attaching “used” bags. I would buy again.

I used this for less than a week (a total of probably 10-12 walks), and the top came off mid-walk and it and the bags fell out. My husband didn’t notice until after he got home, and we haven’t been able to recover the top or bags. Without the top, the dispenser is completely useless. Although it’s a screw top, it apparently is not a very good one. We’d never even opened the container, so it’s not like we didn’t screw it tight enough. Further, i’d checked the top before and it was ok. I’m not really sure what happened, but clearly the top is not secure enough. Major waste of money. The only reasI gave it 2 stars instead of one is because they were good quality bags. Although, I have to say, the bags are not particularly easy to open; I don’t have arthritis or any functional limitations, and i had to really work at these bags to open them.

unique slim lightweight design allows you to clip poop bag in back instead of carrying it until you can find a trash can. Just make sure to loop bag a few times around the clip.I made the mistake of only looping one time and had to trace my steps to find my poop bag someone’s lawn because it fell off. It has Velcro instead of a plastic clip so you an adjust it your leash or carry separately. I will definitely purchase again. I did not give 5 stars because of the bags, they are sturdy and do the job but I am sure you pay more for the scented bags and they do not smell like lavender. I really don’t know what they smell like I would say more like a bathroom cleaner.

These are probably the best earth friendly bags I have used. I was buying the BioBags made from a resin derived from plants as they are clearly probably truly earth friendly, but they are not as big as these bags and have an annoying hole in the top that has made my hand messy a few times. While I can’t stand behind these actually being earth rated, I do prefer these bags over all I have tried over the last 12 years. The lavender scent I could take or leave.

LOVE the handy hook to hang bag after picking up waste. Size of bags are big enough to pick up waste and tie a knot. Read reviews where some say lavender smell is too strong…yes it’s strong but don’t carry bags in my pocket. I use holder (which I love) and rest of the bags are kept in laundry room. My ONLY complaint…first roll was great but 2nd roll had a rip so I ended up picking up doggie poop with my hand. After looking at bag I pulled out more and they all had the same slice in the bags….looked like an assembly line gone wrong. I took another roll and unraveled and same thing!!! So unraveled 4th roll and it looked fine…but can’t use in holder since it’s unraveled. But, so far all is fine now. So all in all I love the bags but product to price ratio I didn’t get what I bought. If all others bags are fine I wold be fine with 2 defective rolls in the bunch.

This product makes it a bit nicer experience. The bag holder is great, although I am not a huge fan of the velcro strap, it does make it softer when flopping around the lease and my wrist. The hook the back of the roll container is great for holding the full bag and that is a feature I haven’t seen elsewhere. The bags are strong and easy to open. They are adequately sized for the largest poops my 40lbg dog and dish out. Frankly, that is sometimes a bit more than a handful.Bonus: earth friendly, which is good considering that I need to pick up the dog’s poop everytime he goes and that over his lifetime, that would be a lot of plastic waste were it not for this product.

This is our go-to dispenser — sturdy and easy to use, and a few added features that make it better than the cheap super-store versions that fall apart.PROS* Cost — inexpensive especially with Prime.* The screw cap — you won’t understand why this is important if youve never had the cheap pop-off lid type…that sends a roll of 300 poo bags dancing down the drain, or drops your last few bags silently to be left standing with no bags getting the stink eye when you can’t clean up after your dog. The durable, practical cap is GREAT.* The hook — ok, it’s a little creepy to be walking with a bag of poo dangling from the dispenser…but it sure beats carrying it myself. Works well; great grip and no slips.* Works with other bags from other vendors, no issues.CONS* Apparently this had a carabiner clip at one point, but now it’s velcro. The velcro is starting to get a bit worn, so I will probably try to attach my own carabiner to keep using it…just wish it was included. We’ve used this regularly for months with no issues, and am happy with the value and construction.

my go to doggy waste bags. I love the fact they are scented and being able to buy in bulk is even better. I have been using this brand bags for the last three years – they have never disappointed me. I now use the larger sized bags for cleaning out my kitty box. the best thing about these bags, is the fact once you put the waste in the trash receptacle it helps keep the smells to a minimum, even it the hot temperatures of summer. it is also nice they always include the two bag holders, since you can never have enough holders. this is and will always be a repurchase item in my life.

The Pros: Great bags, ing carrier, and all at a very affordable price on.The Cons: I previously bought the 900ct a lightning deal over a year ago. It was so convenient and I haven’t had to worry about bags in what seems like forever. The time finally came to reorder and the price was still incredible. So, I ordered them and thought it was a no brainer. Another year without having to get some more bags right? Unfortunately when I opened my box there were two carriers (as expected) and three GIANT rolls. I literally laughed out loud. How am I supposed to use the fantastic carrier? Roll the bags up myself into the pictured rolls that I have come to know and love? Needless to say they are going straight back and I will have to try shopping around for a good deal at the local stores. I wish there was a way to insure I would get the advertised product because it really is that good.

I really like the Earth Rated Green Dog Waste Bag Dispenser compared to many I have used over the past five years. I have some hand dexterity issues from Arthritis and attaching the unit to my leash was easily accomplished with the velcro attachments and the unit stays in place. The bag are easily removed and the scent is a ncice bonus but not a big deal to me. I had a slight issue with the forst bag finding the opening but it removed from the unit smoothly. I did try another brand in the dispenser and it fit. I will update after more use but I’d very haooy with this purchase.

Greyhound with a fast metabolism = I am my third box of these. I would not agree with the time estimate they put this since he is quite productive, but for an average dog, I bet that it’s near correct. Throughout my household’s use of Earth Rated bags, not once have we encountered a faulty bag. When it comes to business, you want reliability as nothing is worse than being in a crappy situati(literally) with a hole in the bottom of your only bag! They tear easily. There is a good amount per roll. The holder this comes with is durable and easy to carry and use.The scent is light, pleasant enough without being overwhelming. I even think the color is great, you’ll almost be proud to be carrying a bag of poop down the street, like it’s a fashiaccessory.

I usually buy at least 10 – 20 things a month from for the convenience. Hey, I’m a bachelor, don’t judge :)I always do my research and 99% of the time I’m happy with the product (I’m not a big complainer) However, this product is such a piece of garbage that I felt compelled to write in to warn all of my fellow oners. 20 walks with my dog and literally 10 times (50%) of the time, the dispenser has manually unscrewed itself and come undone. Unfortunately, this is usually without me noticing until my dog is popping a squat in a neighbor’s yard and I go to scoop it up but the bags have fallen out because the carrier has come unscrewed/fallen apart. It seems like a pretty simple/important thing – make sure the dog bags don’t fall out because the container consistently becomes unscrewed (whether tight or loose) but I guess it’s just too much to ask. Stay away!!

The item I received was not as shown. I got three giant rolls of 300 poop bags instead of a large box of small rolls which can be used with the dispenser. Why would they think this switch is ok? The bags are completely unusable with the two dispensers that came with the the order! I need to return it because I cannot use the bags at all as intended and as the images clearly imply they can be used. Not giving one star because I use this brad of poop bag all the time and they are great. I am incredibly annoyed at the seller for misrepresentation, though.

So far, so good! I’ve used a couple of these bags now to pick up doggy poops from my German Shepherd. The bags are definitely long enough to pick up and be able to tie the top for disposal, which is awesome. The scent is a little strange – not exactly lavender, but some sort of chemical/floral scent (hence the one star removed from rating). I will order the unscented refills for the dispenser. The dipsenser itself is fairly lightweight and easy to velcro open and closed onto a leash. I would definitely recommend the unscented versiof these with the dispenser.

I purchased the 900 Earth Rated Dog Waste Bags w/ 2 Dispensers. I’ve been using this product for almost a month and I am very happy with how they’ve turned out.The quality and size of the bags are perfect for me and my Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy. I never have any fear that the bags will fail while collecting. The bags are able to be removed from the dispenser with great ease. and the clip located the back of the dispenser come in very handy when you’re long walks and don’t want to hold onto used bags. I attached my dispenser to the leash for easier access.I’ve also dropped the dispenser a number of times my floor from about 4 feet without it being damaged. Also, my pup has dragged it around and nibbled it, and no damage has occurred as of yet.I’d definitely recommend this product to any dog owners!

OMG this is a life saver! I’ve been using earth rated products for some years now and the problem is the stores I buy them at sometimes have them, sometimes don’t! So if you have the dispenser and want refills, you may be out of luck from time to time. Sure, you can use any other refills to use with this dispenser, but the whole point is that I want environmentally friendly bags, and quite frankly the other bags in the market are either too thin to the point that the dog poop seeps through and you can smell it from the outside, OR they are not really environmentally friendly and bio degradable and just have terms that make it sound like they’re environmentally friendly… I came across one that said “made with the environment in mind” with a little “earth logo” next to it… WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!?!?!Anyway, this is great because it comes with a gazillirefills and also two extra dispensers. I normally don’t even need the extra dispensers because it’s not like they go bad or anything, but sometimes I give it away to my other dog-owner friends, or just swap them out so I always have a nice new shiny one my dog leashes. If you are a dog owner, you know you have multiple leashes, so I have one every leash to make sure I’m never left without. And thanks to on, there’s always SOMEONE selling them here so I can always find them. I especially love that the bags are secure, scented, and keep all the poop smell inside. I don’t know about you but I have trash pickup once a week, and my trash cans are in my garage, so I don’t wanna have a week full of poop smell before the trash is picked up. Especially in southern california where the garage interior can get as hot as 110-120 degrees, the poop smell is ABSOLUTELY unbearable. This is a great help and I’m sticking with this brand. I hate using regular plastic bags cuz every time I thrown them out it feels like it’s gonna end up in the stomach of a whale or kill a bird or some other wild animal. This definitely takes that feeling away.

We are just pleased as punch with the quality of the carry case and bags by the Earth Rated brand. We wanted to buy poop bags that were a better choice for the environment. These are a fine size (especially since our pit bull 1-year-old foster has monster poops) and the lavender scent helps ease the pain of doodie duty. The bags are thick and crisp enough that I don’t feel any moisture or texture while picking up after our foster fur child. We bought a large refill kit and plan to use these for the life of our city dog.

This is a nice little dispenser that can hang from your leash. I had one before that was a more stiff, brittle feeling plastic, that I was always worried would break if I dropped it the ground. I don’t feel that way about this one. It seems to be good quality plastic, and the rounded edges mean it’s less likely to get damaged when dropped. The hook the back for hanging used bags rather than carrying them is a nice touch. Bags feel pretty secure when they’re hanging there. The only problem I see with the dispenser is that it only has a post the bottom for the roll of bags to spin around. That means when you’re most of the way through a roll and there’s more wiggle room inside, the roll can tilt to the side and make it a little more difficult to tear them off. It’s a minor hassle, though.

We fill these with the onbasics dog poop bags. They’re much better than other dispensers, which seem to fall apart easily and don’t have a nice little holder the backside. I hate holding a bag of poop until I find a trash can, so they’re worth every penny. The bags that come with it the other hand – they’re nice, but refills are really expensive by comparisto other options. Thankfully, the other bags fit just fine.

These are my favorite pickup bags out of the many I’ve tried. I once bought a brand of “biodegradable” bags, but once I picked up a poop, it started to “biodegrade” right away. I had to run to the nearest trash can as the bag melted. THIS bag did not do that. I can carry a poop pickup for several miles (We hike trails with scarce trash cans), with no issues of disintegrating, or holes, or accidental punctures due to thin plastic. The box came with two plastic pods to hold the bags. These work well, and I’ve attached them to my retractable leashes. They pods hold the rolls securely but allow them to spin, which has been an issue with other brands’ pods (the rolls get stuck and won’t spin within the pods). For me, the scent is not unpleasant or too strong, but the scent *does* get my hands and stays my skin until I can wash the scent off with soap and water. They’re big enough to pick up the poop of my 30 lb. dog, but they are the small side for picking up the poop of my 85lb dog and still have enough “bag” left over to tie the end (might be partly due to the size of my hands. I wear Large/Extra Large examinatigloves).

As a brand new puppy owner, I ordered these bags based value. I read the product reviews and they were mostly positive, so I ordered them. The first thing that I noticed about these bags, as I opened the package, was the wonderful scent! These lavender scented bags will make the job much easier and more pleasant! The bags appear to be a bit thin, however, they are sufficient for the job. I’m happy with my order, especially it being the very first purchase of this kind for my household!

Over the years I’ve tried about a dozen different bag holders. I’ve got some cheapo-freebies that come with the bags, I’ve bought some fancy nylon/velcro ones, plastic ones, rubber ones.. none seem to work well, or last. The caps pop off, the bag roll falls out, or they jamb up and don’t dispense a bag well. They all seem to suck.I got fed up with the ones we have, and figured I’d take another look and see if someone came up with a better bag holder. This one was very highly rated, and not very expensive.I see why it’s rated so high, it-just-works. It’s a 2 piece screw together design, so no end caps to fall off, or get pulled off when pulling a bag through. The side opening is generous enough to allow the bags to come out, but not so big they fall out. There’s a good sized spindle inside to help hold the rolls and keep them turning while dispensing. I’ve tried a few different rolls of bags in it from different brands, and they’ve all worked just fine.It only comes with a small bag roll, which is fine, I wanted it for the dispenser, not the bags. However, the included bags were also quite good.

What can I say about poo-bags? They are really good! I have a huge Rottweiler, so I have to clean up big piles, so the depth of the bags is really helpful to tie up big loads. They say ‘Earth Rated’, which, is kind of a misnomer… I thought that meant they were biodegradable, which it does not. Here is a blurb from their website:”Our green-colored bags contain an EPI additive, which help our bags break down unlike traditional plastic bags. However, due to the updated U.S. Federal Trade Commissiregulations, as applied to our industry, they cannot meet the regulatory definitiof “biodegradable” as they cannot be proven to break down within a regulated time frame in every type of landfill environment. As an alternative to our green-colored bags, we do offer a white-colored, vegetable starch-based bag. These bags are unscented and meet the ASTM D6400 guidelines and can be disposed of in a municipal compost environment where pet waste is accepted.”So if you’re looking for compostable bags, get their vegetable starch bags.

The bags are sturdy, and large enough for my 85lb lab mix. When I received the box of 900 bags, I didn’t think it looked like much, but I still have a bunch of rolls left almost a year laterThe dispensers, the other hand, are garbage. Neither lasted more than a week. To compare, a cheap store brand one I got from Petco lated months, and withstood being dropped multiple times, dragged over grass and concrete (it was clipped to the leash)

Update May, 2017: been through most of the first case of bags and just re-ordered. Still think this is a very good product. Bags (in their dispenser) are compact, unobtrusive, and easy to pull out and use. We lost the bottom of one or our dispensers when it accidentally came unscrewed and dropped off a walk. A small piece of duct tape the dispenser has prevented that from happening again in the last 9 months. Not a design flaw, just think we didn’t screw it tightly. Other than that, this is a product that just works. It does its job well and, other than having to bend over to pick up the poop, we have no complaints. Expect to buy again late in year.Original review: 5-stars means “I love it”…it is really hard to “love” dog poop bags 🙂 That said, these are the best I have found. The bag rolls are easy to insert into the dispensers. I have not torn one yet (into the third roll now). Dispenser attaches to our retractable leash using velcro strap and is not in the way and is very unobtrusive. The backup rolls and everything comes in a relatively small box that fits in the cabinet without taking up too much space (about 8″ X 12″ X 4″ I think). My only complaints would be that sometimes I have a little trouble opening the bag once it is detached and needed. But to be fair, I have the same problem with produce bags at many grocery stores–those that are folded over their rolls. And a suggestifor improvement: is it possible to make the last two bags a slightly different color or put some sort of marking to let you know “Hey, in case you lost count, we are nearing the end of the roll. Replace me soon!” Some of us need that nudge.Bottom line: best solutifor us. Will buy more when we run out.

These poop bags are the best. With 3 large dogs, we go through poop bags like you wouldn’t believe. Not only are these inexpensive, but they’re biodegradable and they are scented to mask some of the poop smell. They’re also durable – I’ve never had one break me. I think durability is really the most important quality when it comes to poop bags, since an unnoticed tear can lead to disaster. I can’t think of much that would ruin my day faster than poopy hands.

So far, these are the best pooper picker upper bags out there. These are sturdier than the others I have used and I’ve used a lot. I was buying them locally at various discount stores, but they always had different brands and you never know what kind of quality you are getting until you get them home. Also, their dispenser is far superior to any other I have used. It is actually threaded, so they don’t pop apart like some of the other ones do from time to time and the Velcro attachment stays in place too. Some of the cheaper dispensers have plastic clips that fall off easily. The vendor touts a hook the back of the dispenser to hold a used bag, but my dogs are approximately 50 lbs. and due to the weight of there waste this feature didn’t work for me. I am scent-sensitive, but lavender doesn’t bother me. Some people have complained that the scent is strong and it is, but if you prefer, you can also purchase the unscented.

I’ve gone through 3 of these dispensers and a couple of points:1. my jogs with my dog, the cap has a tendency to unscrew itself and detach. If you’re wearing headphones or earbuds, you may not hear it detach and fall;2. There is a spike the inside that is meant to hold the roll of bags in place. It’s not very sturdy and when it breaks, it makes removing the bags a chore. Even with the spike in place, the bags do not dispense easily. The company was very good about sending me an additional dispenser after having 3 go the way side, but still, would prefer not having to bother them or me.

I like the concept of this product and keep buying it because it’s one of the better options I found. HOWEVER… Why do I “keep buying it” instead of using the one i already bought? Because this dispenser has one serious flaw. The cap unscrews very easily and gets lost because it’s not attached to the container in any way. This sucks because this happened at least 4 times during regular walks with my dog. I don’t understand why the cap can’t either be attached securely or screwed tight enough not to loosen. The manufacturer really needs to rethink this.

Overall, I love these bags and have been using them for a few years now. I’ve been buying them in the smaller quantities, but now that I have two dogs, I’ve upgraded to the super duper count. The size of the bag is great. I have small/medium dogs so I love that I can tie a knot in it and reuse it later (usually I do this when I’m a walk). The lavender smell can be nauseating and overpowering, so I tend to leave the box outside in my storage area with the top open. However, I prefer the lavender over baby powder. The reasit lost a star is because the bags are thinner than the 120-ct box that I purchased last year. I don’t know if they made changes to the bag or not, but they are thinner (still work well, haven’t had them tear or anything, and they’re still opaque, but a tad less so). I love how easy they tear and that they tear AT the perforations. Yay.

I like this bag holder better than any I have ever used before for one reason: the bag clip the back. the reverse side of the bag holder there is a small clip that can hold a knotted poop bag. You no longer have to carry your bag of poop around. This is absolutely essential long walks away from garbage cans. I ended up having to reorder this product because I lost the bottom half of my first one when it screwed off. My only issue with the holder is that the attachment can be a bit loose.

This is a great product and value, thanks Earth Rated for making a big box of bags like this one. Love the two included bag holders, very convenient to have- I keep one in my car and also have one a leash! These bags are close to biodegradable which I appreciate greatly. I prefer the non-scented a I think the scented might be artificial fragrance which I don’t like. I would give it a 5 star rating except the last box I bought had a few rolls which had slits in the bottom of some of the bags so I’m giving it a 4. That said, I bought this again and recommended it to my dog-walking friend. UPDATE: APRIL 28, 2016: I am increasing the star rating from 4 to 5 stars. The customer service at Earth Rated is exceptional. They read my review and were concerned about a comment I made concerning some of the bags in this last box I order before this one. They were in contact with me via email several times and sent me a “care package”. The new box, like all the other boxes I have bought from them in the past, with the one exceptiof a few bags with the previous box, has been perfect. I would highly recommend Earth Rated and will continue to purchase my doggie bags from them.

This is the second time I have bought the box of 900 count bags. I have a Lab and the first box lasted a year and a half. I have found that these are the best bags out there. I really like the lavender scented ones for those times I have to carry her business a little further than needed. The dispensers are great because of the hook the side you can attach the bag to so you are not carrying the full bag around in your hand. I never used the velcro strip to attach the dispenser to the leash, I use a large split ring. I have a drawer of spare dispensers too. They sometimes sell them at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for really cheap and I stock up!!

UPDATE: The hook the back broke after a couple months, don’t know how. Then I lost the whole darn dispenser in a field. So, I bought it again. It’s a good little dispenser… just be gentle with the baggie-hook. Oh, and the scented bags that come free with it… what the heck, they’re gross, but free.1) Small enough to not notice swinging the leash loop, by it’s adjustable velcro strap: Nice. 2) Holds a full roll of any regular-type baggies: Good. 3) the hook the back for hanging full-baggies is actually rather useful, which I didn’t expect it to be: Bonus! 4) BUT, the scented bags smell especially disgusting when filled with dog-poop: Yuck. I hate chemically-scented anything, so maybe I’m biased. SO: Buy the dispenser because it’s worth it. Get through the scented bags as fast as you can, then re-fill with your own. Good-to-go, so to speak.

these are the only poop bags that I consider worth buying, all ends. Not only are these bags big enough for Saint Bernards left overs, but also they are fully recyclable, strong, and not too thick, nevertheless. I wish everyone would get with the pgoram and get these bags for the einvornment’s sake. We only have earth, and our earth can only become better if we people do look after her and do something to make her healthy again. It starts with popp-bags. I have been buying these particular bags since years and every now and then a new kid the block appears, earth friendly and all the sellers say, but, I adivse you not to waste your time and money buying these other products because they are never as good, as solid, as convenient an nice-scented as the Earth Rated Lavender God pop bags. Besides, the price of these bags is very right!

I stumbled one of these at a ski race for a pet charity, and it’s been instrumental in making it easier to pick up and remove dog waste in my neighborhood. It’s easy and handy and really, who wouldn’t want easy and handy for an unpleasant task? Only possible gripe is the lavender scent is a little too cloying. I’ve stitched to unscented bags for my use. But some might appreciate that to mask other unpleasant odors. I recently bought a bunch for donating to a local trail that’s heavily impacted by dogs – I hope it makes a difference.

These bags are the first I ever used for picking up after my pet. To top it off, I am starting with a Siberian Husky. He is 9 weeks old right now and has already went couple of times within the first 24 hours. Glad to have purchased these dog waste bags and dispenser. Most likely will need to re-order.. with all the pooping going on.The scent of the bags are somewhat elegant, you can’t really smell it that well, but once the poop is in, the smells is engulfed with the aroma that makes it bearable. All I do when I take my husky outside is have the dispenser attached to the leash handle. Once I have a need for them, the dispenser is quickly able to provide me the bag, no hassle. It is very similar to a grocery bag you get at a supermarket, you might have to lick your fingers to open up a bag, but thats my experience sometimes when my fingers are too smooth. This is an overall usable product and I would recommend it to dog owners all around.

Excellent bags. I keep trying slightly cheaper alternatives, but I haven’t found anything that is better than these.Other bags tear, rip and the seam, or are too thin. Not these . I can confidently pack one in my pocket. Other bags I would take a roll or two to be safe. These rip apart well, and I haven’t ruined a bag yet. Other bags will rip at the perforations and run up the length of the bag rendering it useless. These , the other hand, separate at the perforations perfectly. These bags are also slightly thicker than many other brands. Which is nice the hand picking up the droppings. My only recommendatiis to stay away from the lavender scented bags offer. They are not nice. That smell mixed with droppings is worse. After a few weeks you associate the lavender with the awful mix smell every time you walk near the bags. Just don’t do it. Somethings you can’t unsmell.

I appreciate the gigantic box and the value it offers. I am purchasing for the second time today, and tells me that I purchased the first time almost exactly one year ago. So 900 bags lasted 1 year with 2 dogs (though we use the 300-bag bulk roll to pick up poops done in the back yard since there is less packaging involved). The bags are great – the unscented, not the lavender. My husband and I both like the smell of lavender plants but hate the artificial smell of these bags. 1 star deducted for two reasons: first, I really don’t understand why there are two dispensers included with every box. I wish there weren’t any dispensers included because I’d rather just purchase it separately when I need it, vs. having extras laying around. If they included 1 that might be more reasonable – I could totally see giving this to a friend with a new dog. But why 2? I have 2 dogs but only need one. Don’t understand the waste. Secondly, the newer design with the velcro strap is a definite downgrade from the original design. The velcro doesn’t bother me that much, though the carabiner was nicer. But they moved the hook from the top piece to the bottom piece and I really can’t understand why. Whereas with the previous versiif I had a full bag “loaded” into the hook and had run out of bags, I could still unscrew the bottom piece and easily refill the dispenser. But with the hook the bottom, unscrewing the dispenser ejects the bag and so then I have to hold that separately while I awkwardly replace the roll. They must have had a reasto change this in the design but I can’t think of what it might have been and I so wish they’d go back to having the hook the main part of the dispenser.

It has taken us 9 months to go through these (actually there is 6 rolls left so it still might be another 1-2m before we are all the way out of these.) Overall I am very happy with this product. My qualms are:The sticker used to hold the roll shut sometimes rips the bag when removing.I would prefer a stronger clip than the Velcro currently the poop bag holder; however these work great for hanging the door knob in the house. The lavender scent was perfect for me but my husband complained it was too strong for his sensitive nose. Gave him a headache (there is now an unscented 900 box available – which is what I am about to buy.)I saw Earth Rated has Vegetable-based Refill Rolls – Unscented available but only in a 6 roll pack. (I would LOVE this optiin a 900 box pack) as these green bags aren’t considered even biodegradable anymore due to federal regulatichanges… they do break down but it is many months over the requirement… The white bags are biodegradable and compostable!Final issue is very occasionally I have encountered an unusable bag (it has been torn — looks more like error in manufacturing like someone took a box cutter to it). I’d say in 9 months it has happened 3-5 times. These are very sturdy for me. I get my hand in the bag and end up pulling up chunks of grass and dirt with the bag and poop and have yet to rip a hole in the bags). My English Setter started at 17lbs & 12 weeks old when I got these. She is now 60lbs & 1 year old.UPDATE: I have received the unscented ones. Everything about the scented is just as awesome with these unscented but better because no scent. Favorite brand and love that I can buy them in bulk like this. I still would love it if the veg based ones came in bulk box.

These bags are spacious and well-crafted. I’ve never had a problem with even one. I’ve had to use a different holder, however, because the green capsule comes apart very easily. I’ve dropped the lead a few times and the container split open each time–even after I swapped an older for newer version. And if there’s a good wind, the bags unwind like a merry streamer. Kinda funny…until you have to roll them back tightly in order to fit into the capsule again. The bags themselves are perfect.

These bags are okay. When I bought them I was certain they claimed to be biodegradable. I almost always take my bags with me and dispose of properly, however I liked the idea of being fully biodegradable in the event I can’t or forgot – it would have just made me feel better. The 3 stars is mainly for the tie that came with the dispenser, it’s not that great. Although it works it seems cheap and there has to be a better option. I do like the hook for the poop bag that the container has, that made me change my mind to a 4 star review.

Hands down the best bags we’ve used.We have two St. Bernards. These bags are adequately sized for giant doggie doo-doos. They’re lightly scented, which helps deal with odors without being over-powering. These do NOT have the ripping problems we’ve experienced with other eco-friendly bags. They unfold relatively easily — I can hold the leashes two horribly behaved giant dogs while tearing off a new one, unfolding it, and picking up a giant doodie. They pretty much make me a dog poo ninja. We’ve been using these bags for a couple of years now, and still love them… as much as you can love a dog poop bag.The dispensers are actually pretty nice compared to others. The bags are dispensed through the side, not through the end — which seems to be a matter of personal preference, but you don’t have to worry about a rubbery end cap going missing. The stickers can be removed from the bags without completely destroying a bag, and this can actually done while the roll is in the dispenser if you have to. There’s a little clip the dispenser. After knotting the top of a used bag, I slip the bag into the clip and the knot holds it in place until I get to a trash can. The dispensers attach to the leash with a Velcro loop, so that never breaks, which is awesome. They’re made of a tougher, less-likely-to-shatter plastic than other brands of dispensers.

I’ve been using these bags for my 75 lb. black lab and 40 lb. mixed puppy for almost 2 years. I’ve never had a single bad bag in the 700+ that I’ve used. Simply put, these are by far the best dog bags that I’ve ever come across. A friend left a roll of bags from another brand at our house and I just can’t bring myself to use them. At 6′ 2″ I have rather large hands and I’m able to use the Earth Rated bags very comfortably. They have a pleasant light scent that works to mask some of the bad odor. Most importantly, I’ve always been able to pick up after my dogs without ever getting any “unpleasantness” my hands. Once my current stock runs out I’ll be ordering another 900 bags.

We have 2 dogs (medium and small) and go though 4-7 bags a day so it’s great that we can by in bulk like this. We used to buy any bag that was sale and have been so disappointed (and disgusted) with the quality of those cheapy bags. Not that these are expensive! These bags have consistently come out of the holder easily and tear at the perfs as expected. They have never torn or split. The lavender scent isn’t offensive but isn’t my favorite either. it’s plenty big for our hand and for our dogs poop. Every once in a while our dogs will pull and we’ll drop the holders and they can crack so it’s great that these packs come with extra holders every time.

It’s sort of tough to review this….because it’s extremely basic. With that being said, it does the intended job very well. You can carry bags in your pocket if you’d like, but if you’d rather have a handy little dispenser then this one is for you. I purchased this to replace another one that “broke” by losing the part that screws onto it. I have no clue how it came unscrewed but either way it did and it’s pretty much useless after that. So this one I’m going to make sure I keep a close eye to make sure it stays tight. Once the bags are in there they will last a bit so I guess I could even put a piece of tape it to make sure. I bought the one with 15 bags because you can get replacement bags at the dollar store, I think 80 of them for a 1$ so why pay extra for them. This feels sturdy, has a nice piece of velcro to attach it to anything and has a bonus of a little clip in the back for the used bags.

Pros: Well made, nice design, LOVE the little hook you can use to hang the used baggie, the scented bags are awesome – makes picking up dog poop so much easier.Cons: You clip it the leash with a velcro strap that is a bit of a hassle (vs a clip for example) especially if you need to take it and off the leash (in our case sometimes we let our dog run around the unfenced yard with the leash attached in case he doesn’t respond when we call him. In those cases we need to take the dispenser off).Neutral: I get the whole earth = green, but if it came in more than one color it’d be even better.

I love this little dispenser and the bags too!Pros:- aesthetically pleasing- solid- smells nice (lavender-scented bags)- earth-friendly- low priceCons:- NONE!Bag dispensers like this one aren’t usually cheap and they are almost always ugly. Last time I went to the local pet store, they were selling fire hydrant dispensers that only came with one roll of generic bags for $8, which is more than I paid for this dispenser and the two rolls of earth-friendly bags. The pet store dispenser lacked anywhere to put the used bag, which wouldn’t have bothered me until I realized how nice it is to not have to carry around a bag of my dog’s poop until we find a trash can. I love the minimalist design of this dispenser and how solid it is. The plastic dispenser doesn’t feel flimsy or fragile at all, despite the rock-bottom price, and the strap that holds it to my dog’s retractable leash is well-made too. Overall, great product and it’s a steal for the price!

Update: Customer Service reached out to me and I had a replacement within days. They are updating the design of the dispenser to address the problems I had with the screw cap coming off. My review went from 2 stars to 5 stars for excellent customer service and an interest in improving a great product.Original Review:I love the bag dispenser. The extra hook for carrying the bag full of poop you just picked up is a bonus. It also fits all sorts of brands of bags.I replaced the velcro with a zip-tie so it would stay put the leash.Only downside is that the bottom screw part of the dispenser always falls off. I came home from the dog pårk with no bags and the bottom cap missing. This was my second purchase of an identical dispenser due to the defective cap coming off. It’s a low dollar item, but I wish the seller/manufacturer would address this defect in an otherwise wonderful product.

Ever since I got my puppy back in June, this is the only doggy poop bags I use. Its large enough and also has a really greay scent to it. Says it smells like lavender but its a different scent to me, maybe because its the strong side. I dont mind the scent because it really covers the smell of the poop while in the bag, so makes it that much easier to carry around until you can throw it in the trash. I used to buy these in the 120 count from petco, so its a small package that cost roughly around $11 dollars or so, when I saw this is a 900 count for this price I knew I had to buy. You dont find this anywhere else, just to know that you are stocked up dog poop bags is a good feeling. Even better that they give you 2 trash bag dispensers to go with it, the dispensers alone with one roll cost around $7 to $8 dollars at petco. The box is easy to store anywhere, since the rolls are nicely stacked inside of it. I have about 4 or so leashes for my puppy and so I went ahead and added these dispensers all his leashes, since I already had some before. I will definitly be buying this product once I am low dog poop bags. I have noticed that the dispenser is only a twist off, not sure if because of this, when the dispenser has landed the floor it breaks open, the bags come out. But the piece of velcro that lets you attach it to anything is very sturdy. Also the small slit back of it lets you hang the poop bags it so you dont have to carry it your hand.

I have been purchasing the Earth Rated refill bags for some time now and am so happy with them. When my current dispenser broke, I was happy to find that Earth Rated made one. I am very happy with the dispenser, it is solidly made and holds the bags really well. My only complaint, and it’s minor, is that the velcro strap that attaches the dispenser to the leash is too long for my needs. It cannot be cut because the end (that would be cut off) is the opposite velcro that is needed to make it all work. A minor problem that doesn’t take away from this being a quality dog waste bag dispenser.

I needed a dispenser to replace one that my dog had chewed up; this one works nicely. Although there is a hook, it doesn’t work very well as a way to attach it to the leash because it is open the end and comes right off. However, there is an adjustable piece of velcro and it keeps the dispenser attached firmly to the leash. The bags have a pleasant, lightly scented smell that helps to mask the odor of the poop as I bend down to pick it up. The drawing of the “dog” also makes it clear which end to open the bag. I wish i had bought these bags instead of the 600 of another brand that I just purchased!

We’ve bought these before and will continue buying them. There are cheaper bags available, but the bags don’t separate easily, they’re smaller and your hands will smell like poo. Whose wants that?Pros:-Large size – big enough for 85lb black lab dumps and plenty of room at the top to tie it up-Thick material – hands don’t smell like poo after picking up after my pup-Easy to use dispenser (two are included with every 900 bag box), includes a clip the side so you don’t have to carry your filled poo bag-Scent – pleasant, but not overbearing. Much better than poo.-Biodegradable (even by CA standards). Guilt free dog poo bagging.-Bags are easy to pull from dispenser, perforatimakes for easy bag-to-bag separati(especially handy when its cold and windy)Cons:-None

This is a fantastic product! I own a basset hound and foster basset hounds, and dog-sit basset hounds! Now I have enough canisters to go every leash and I won’t run out of bags. I used to stuff big plastic bags in my pocket to do the job, but invariably I’d forget about them and they’d go through the wash! These rolls are so convenient, easy to use one at a time, and don’t take up much room. LOVE this!

The price and bag count is great! I wanted to give 5 stars for that. The dispenser has a screw lid which is much better than my previous dispenser which was a nightmare to remove the lid. The problem… The lavender scent. It’s horrible. I don’t want to be wasteful so I’ll use them. But it’s a heavy chemical lavender powder smell. The fragrance of these bags makes me want to say 1 star.I will say, as a general rule, I do not prefer chemical style fragrance that you would experience with Glade Plugins or aerosol air freshener. I do enjoy incense and candles so I’m not oppressed to fragrance. If your tendencies are similar I recommend refraining from this purchase. If however you love your Febreeze and Lysol give them a whirl. Might be perfect for you.

I would give this product 5 stars if it didn’t have one fatal flaw. I have had two of these and both have been the same. If you screw the thing together too hard (we’re talking totally reasonable pressure) it punches through and keeps spinning. That means you can’t tighten it fully. I have owned them for over a year and it has fallen apart me at least 5 times but I have noticed it and caught the bags and container. Today a bike ride it finally fell apart without my noticing. If you are not very active this is probably fine. If you are hiking or biking a lot you are rolling the dice and eventually you will have to buy a new one.

I have 3 little dogs and take them for walks almost every day. I used to use plastic grocery bags to clean up behind them. I would carry the bags in my pocket. They worked ok. Someone left a small roll of the Earth Rated bags at the dog park and I was fortunate to find it and try them out. So I went online after I ran out and ordered more and the dispenser. I carry it one of the retractable leashes I lead the dogs with. I have found the dispenser to be convenient with a few qualifiers. Be careful to separate the bag from the roll before a second bag gets out too far, or the second bag is difficult to get back in. If you are walking multiple dogs, be sure to put the 1st bag inside the other, and then tie it. The little hook the dispenser will only hold one bag. Again, not a complaint, just info. My next purchase will be bags with handles, since they are easier to tie up. I think Earth Rated has them.

I really like this dispenser, but my biggest problem is the bottom has come off a couple of times. I’m not sure if someone at home screwed it too tight and sort of stripped it out (which then obviously isn’t the manufacturer’s problem) or maybe the puppy did something to it (also not a manufacturer issue). The bottom has only popped off a couple of times though and never a walk. So my advice would be to not let your dog drag the leash around with this attached. My second thing is I wish the velcro strap wasn’t so long so I could have the dispenser tight the leash, but that’s a minor thing. What I love is that it has a hook at the back and after your knot your bag you can stick it in this hook and the knot of the bag holds it in place the hook. Very handy and then you don’t have a bag of poo in your pocket or in your hand. It also helps when you leave a bag somewhere to pick up your way back and then forget about it or end up going a different way.The dispenser itself is a nice size and easy to use. I haven’t had any issues getting bags out of it. The bags are nice too. They’re plenty big even for a large breed (unless they have super voluminous giant breed stools). The bags I got are lavender scented. I can take it or leave it. The lavender scent its own is sort of okay but when you pick up waste then it’s just lavender scented dog poo, so it doesn’t really cover up the smell. It just makes a bizarre combo. If your dog’s business isn’t too smelly then they should be fine then.

I recently misplaced my previous dispenser (same brand) and felt at a loss! What did I ever do my walks without this!? So, off I went to and purchased another one. I ended up finding the one I thought I lost but I am glad to have two. I use different leashes sometimes so I can just keep it clipped. I also plan buying another one to keep as back up in my car.As I’m sure you know, it can be a pain to walk while holding a leash and carrying a smelly poop bag! This product alleviates that (well, half of that)! It is especially nice if you like to jog/run!

This is a nice little product. The best part is the clip that holds the bags after you have picked up. Some people were complaining about the replacement of Velcro versus the carabiner clip that used to be them, however, I have this attached to my dog stroller so it works just fine for my purposes. It would be nothing to add a carabiner to the Velcro if that is the preferable method. I originally was just going to buy a clip to hold the bags after I picked up after my dogs, but for the same price I could get this bag dispenser “with” a clip for the same price. The only downside is that there is not enough threads to hold the dispenser securely together. It takes only have a turn and the bottom part comes off, so it’s not very secure that way. Other people comment the same thing in other reviews.

Only complaint is that I read they used to come with a metal carabiner for attaching instead of the velcro. I’m not a huge fan of the velcro…there’s a lot of extra that I don’t need. Plus it’s more difficult to move it, when attaching it to something new. But if you wanted to attach it to something larger, I guess that’s nice….? Generally speaking, I think it was just cheaper to manufacture, so that definitely is a quality downer. However, this is a GREAT deal! I live in an apartment that has a few dog bag posts around, but people tend to steal them right when they’re refilled 🙁 Plus there aren’t many trash cans around. Because it’s an apartment, we have to bag EVERY poop our Shiba takes, unlike if we had a yard. This is great because it comes with a millibags (best deal) that we know we will use, and the holder has a super convenient clip you can put used bags so you’re back to being hands-free! The lavender scent is subtle, but nice; definitely masks the vague poop smell that accompanies the bag once filled. Overall, definitely a good buy. Oh and the fact that it comes with two containers is also awesome! We are starting a retractable leash, so I keep one the 6 foot normal leash and one the retractable. It’s so nice to not need to switch it over, especially because it’s inconvenient with the velcro. We keep all of the extra bags in the box it came with, so that was good “built-in” storage. In summary, if you’re not sure, just buy it!

I’m a fan of the scented bags, they’re pretty sturdy, and at first I loved the dispenser. Heavy duty plastic, the awesome used bag clip and the vecro attachment made it loads better than others we’ve had. However, we’ve had it for less than a month and the bottom came off one of the dispensers. It’s come off a few times and hasn’t been too much of a problem before since we always pick it up but it seems our dog walker didn’t notice it fell off and now it’s gone. This is extremely irritating. To put it into perspective, we’ve only had our dogs for 5 months and we’ve gone through 3/4 bag dispensers. Sadly, these were the best of all of them and we lost this one even quicker than the others broke.I’m pretty disappointed. Guess I’ll be springing for a zipper pouch. I’ll really miss that bag clip though.Update 8/11/15:The company contacted me within a day of posting this review and are sending me a new dispenser. I’m adding a star (for a total of 4 stars) for excellent customer service. They’ve also mentioned they’re working a redesign to make sure the dispenser’s lock. So far I’m happy with them. I’ll probably be adding some velcro to the new dispenser and the complete one I still have so I don’t lose the bottom again. I’ll probably even end up getting a new set when they come out with the redesigns because I like to support good companies.

Earth Rated bags and dispensers are the only company I’ll buy from for my dog. Why!-The dispensers are sturdy. My dog is growing out of her puppy phase, but occasionally she’ll forget she’s a big girl and chew a little bit stuff. This dispenser can survive a little bit of extra chewing. (Not a *whole* lot; the whole reasI bought a second one is because she destroyed the first one. In the dispenser’s defense, though, she had unrestricted access to it for a couple hours when it fell off the hook while we were out, and she’s a 60 lb Lab/Boxer mix.)-I have yet to find another brand of dog bag dispensers that has a hook the back to hold the bag. It’s a good hook, too – if you make a knot in the bag it’ll hold it in place until you find a Dumpster. This is great for me as I live in a residential area where most of the residences are single-family homes, so if I get more than 5 minute walk away from my own apartment there’s nowhere to throw the bag until I return.-The Velcro straps mean that I can wrap it tightly around my leash, which means that the dispenser doesn’t slide up and down the leash. Most metal or plastic carabiner clips allow the dispenser to slide (and the plastic ones break!)Also, for those of you who don’t already use Earth Rated poop bags, the bags themselves are great! They are thicker and bigger than most pop bags, so I don’t have to worry about accidentally scooping with my bare hand (ew) or the bag tearing and stuff leaking out (ew), both things that have happened with other, thinner, smaller bags.

Didn’t realize just how great this poo bag dispenser was until I had to dog sit and used my friend’s bargain brand. That thing was so hard to separate out, and the bags were saran wrap thin, which made it prone to ripping. The Earth Rated bags are really well perforated. Never had a problem or fear of tearing. The only reasI deducted one star was because, just like the cheap dispenser, it’s not as simply as pulling the bag to get it out of the dispenser. The dowel in the middle does not turn well, even when some of the bags are used and don’t fill the space from side to side. I usually have to reach in and manually twist the bag/dowel to dispense a bag.

I like these bags. They aren’t thin. They are long enough that I can put most of my forearm in. I have had to really dig a few times and they haven’t busted. There’s enough room to tie off the bag after pickup. They smell pretty good. The scent is strong enough to distract from the poop smell somewhat. The dispenser comes with adjustable Velcro so that it can fit any size leash handle. I have it hanging from the handle of my retractable leash. It’s lightweight and comes with a handy little clip to hold onto the poop bag so you don’t have to be holding it. This is way better than the retractable leash with the built in bags. I’m glad I went with this.

A really compact and convenient way of carrying bags empty/full around walks.I got the dispenser and scented bags. When I reorder I will get the nscented bags the scent the bags is too much like an old aunts house, not my favorite smell.but other than that the dispenser with it’s velcro strap hooks perfectly my dog’s leash and the molded plastic is very thick and able to withstand some punishment. The price for refills is really cheap. I can’t say whether the plastic bags are compostable but they are a good size and opaque so you can’t see anything that is inside of them, which is good long walks.

These bags have been such a great value for me over the past two years, and they are very well made. I’ve gone cheap in the past and used bags that cost maybe like 3 rolls per dollar. You can tell the difference quickly. These are not heavy duty bags or incredibly thick, but unlike cheaper bags I feel that I have enough of a barrier between my hand and my pet’s business that I don’t feel disgusted. Some of the cheaper bags I’ve used in the past have made me feel icky with just how thin they seemed to the point that I would use two bags instead. I’m indifferent to the lavender because I buy these for the bag itself, not the smell. But I can see how some would prefer it. Great buy.

I just placed my order for another 900 of these bags. I have 3 dogs, and the first 900 bags lasted a year. Having used almost a thousand of these bags, I feel confident in saying that they’re quite reliable. They always tear off the roll and open easily, they’re quite large, and I haven’t had any problems with leaks. As far as the dispensers, I haven’t had any of the problems mentioned in some of the reviews. The dispenser stays closed when it’s supposed to, and opens easily when I need to change rolls.Update: These are large and sturdy enough to hold a largish dead rat. It takes a little flick of the wrist to get the tail in, but it’s doable.

I love this dispenser, and have had no trouble at all with it coming apart. The hook to slip the used bag onto is great for longer walks, and I love the velcro strap attaching it to the leash. No more struggling to get the stupid plastic catch undone when changing leashes like my other dispenser. I *really* wish the bags weren’t as thin as they are – the ones I’d been using were the same size but thicker. Unfortunately they don’t have a center cardboard roll, so I can’t make them work w/ this dispenser. I haven’t had any problems with the bags ripping while I’m using them, though, so I’ll live with it until the refills I ordered separately run out. The first bag the roll does always tear, cuz the sticker holding it down is too strong, but since I always refill the dispenser when I’m inside, it’s not a problem except for the waste of a bag. Everyone’s taste is different, and I like the lavender scented ones, but the refills come in unscented too.

Very nice dog poop bags. The size is right (I have big hands and can still fit them inside, grab the poop and turn the bag inside out), and they smell great — not overpowering, just very pleasant. Packaging is great – more than a year’s worth in one box. The clip dispensers are great too, although we rarely need them — just stick a couple of bags in a pocket before heading out for a walk. I’ve seen the same bags in a couple of local retail stores (like Home Goods), but the price Prime, delivered to my door, is better, and it’s great to get a giant box like this. Very nice – I’ll be sticking with this brand.

The dispenser is what I was really after as it has a handy clip around the back and works really well for holding the used bag. I haven’t had any issues with the dispenser cap coming undone its own as has been reported by some others. It’s about a half twist to open/close it and once closed the cap seems pretty secure to me. If this changes I’ll change the review. My dispenser had a velcro strap to secure it to the leash. The bags are close in quality to the popular blue B.O.B. brand with regards to the strength/thickness and a little more opaque. Please see attached photos for comparison. I don’t think these are biodegradable despite how the company presents themselves. Also, the scented versiis too strong for me, so I would buy the unscented next time.

You would not believe how hard it is to find the perfect dispenser that is both cheap and convenient to use. I was never able to find one that could attach easily to the leash handle (my preferred place to put it) and that is light/easy to pull bags out. That is until I came across this one.-The Velcro handle attachment is perfect because it allows the user to attach it to wherever they wish to without limitations.-The design is great and feels durable and is compact ; not cheap looking or feeling at all. Easy to open/close & refill rolls.-Super affordable-Color’s great. Pleasing the eyes. (I love green which is a +)-The hook in the back for used waste bags is ing, something that I never knew I needed until I had it.Definitely recommend everyone giving this a try, even if you already have a good one hand. This will change your life lol (Yes, I think this poopie bag dispenser will change your life. It did mine!)

I like these bags. They are good quality, and I like the slight lavender scent. I like the dispenser also. I have a retractable leash, so I hang it off the handle and I LOVE the tab the back of the dispenser for hanging the used poop bag off of until I get to a trash bin to throw it away in. My only suggestito make this dispenser perfect is this: I recently adopted a dog, and I wasn’t sure what would work best for me, so in additito this poop bag/dispenser, I also bought the Sooty Paw dispenser and bags. The Sooty Paw dispenser has a notch for easily ripping 1 bag off as you roll it out of the dispenser. That is a really convenient feature, so what I’ve actually been doing now is, I hang both dispensers off my leash handle and I roll the bags out of the Sooty Paw dispenser and I hang the used bag off this Earth Rated dispenser. If someone combines those 2 features 1 dispenser it would be absolutely perfect! I still give this 5 stars though, because it’s actually a great dispenser and quality bags.

This is my 2nd order and I will now order these bags exclusively for several reasons: 1. Earth friendly 2. Super strong- never fall apart like so many other earth friendly ones do- in fact I’ve yet to have one break which I think is unreal. 3. They don’t stink! So many bags I’ve ordered actually give me hives from the added scent/fragrance (like bad perfume top of poop really smells better) 4. These are an unbelievable bargain as far as pricing. 5. They even include 2 leash holders (be sure to make them tight after you add bags) which is great for a 2 dog (or 2 leash) household. The bags fit any holder anyway. AND Lastly, 6. They come in a compact, sturdy little box made out of recycled and sustainable material… I love these guys! Only caveat as far as I could imagine is if you’re really big/picky made in America items. They are made in Canada. I’m hoping they’ll accept me into their country if Trump wins, so frankly it doesn’t bother me in the least.

I just got my first box and I was worried about the smell being too strong but actually it’s not. The scent is mild, and when the box is closed you can’t even smell it. (it’s more powdery than lavender) I hate very thin bags (as all of you I’m sure) and these are pretty good; thick enough and definitely large enough to handle different size dogs (our family have 4). The dispensers are great. The hole is wide enough to reach and pull the bags which is so practical. I was worried about the velcro handle the dispenser but I actually like it very much as it makes less noise while attached the metal part of my handle (also like the little clip). The bags open up relatively easy. Good quality product. I will order again when we run out.

The dog waste dispenser is a great product to have daily dog walks. I have two dogs so I desperately needed something to hold my doggie waste bags. The waste dispenser works as advertised and the clip is a nice feature to hold a full bag but my beef is with the bags themselves. The lavender scent of the bags are a bit chemically and after I pick up the waste and dispose of the bag my hand still smells of chemical lavender. Earth Rated claims their bags are from recycled content. I have no evidence to contradict this but, If that’s the case why not use recycled grocery bags from the store? Why spend good money the bags themselves? They’re basically the same thing. In the end you still end up placing plastic bags in the trash where they’ll sit there until doomsday. I chose to purchase the bag dispenser and buy biodegradable bags. That way I know that the plastic will degrade and leave nothing in the long run. If you’re looking for biodegradable bags I recommend these: http://www.on.com/Unscented-Biodegradable-Equaling-Eco-friendly-Friendly/dp/B00L4QAYUK/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1420786212&sr=1-1&keywords=ecopoof

Pros: These are good quality bags. I have not had any rips or holes which is an important thing to me.Cons: The smell is absolutely AWFUL. After 6 months of being in the garage they still stink! The smell gets my hands, in my pockets and even a random persat the park asked what that smell was when I got out the bags. If it actually smelled like lavender, it wouldn’t be as horrid. But, this is a chemical, plastic-y smell. Add poop to it and it’s nauseating. I should have returned them, but I thought the smell would go away after leaving them in the garage. Nope.Someone from the company was responding over a year ago about how the unscented bags were soto come in higher quantities. So far, that hasn’t happened. I think more people would buy the unscented bags over the lavender given the choice of the 900 count. How many bad reviews do you need in order to give what the customers would like?I have purchased the unscented bags and will never go back to this one.

I had one of these (the old kind with the clip) and lost the clip, but liked the container in general. I ordered two new ones (two leashes) and the plastic internal stem broke off from this one almost immediately. But the bags still work, sort of. Today I walked my dog to my office. Looked down at the leash and the bottom of the container had come off (somewhere our walk) and (of course) all the bags fell out. So I’m a mile from home with no bags. I don’t mind the smell of the bags (although a friend who took care of my dog hated it). But the container is just not well made. The velcro tie is also long enough to get tangled up.UPDATE: The seller read my review and contacted me. They replaced both the bag dispensers I had bought (both were defective). They must have come from a ‘bad batch’. That is pretty ing customer service.

I’ve waited 2 years to write a review poop bags. Boy is my life exciting… I have the pleasure of cleaning up after a medium-sized golden retriever who has done her fair share of pooping! We’ve gone through at least 100 rolls and I have not encountered a single defective bag! We’ve tried another biodegradable brand and had a defective bag or two per roll. I hated having to throw away a new bag. Not an issue with Earth Rated! The bag thickness is perfect for handling hefty loads without ripping or tearing. The length is also quite handy for larger dumps and keeping your hands/arms/sleeves nice and clean!I hike with my dog and have hiked miles carrying a bag full of poop. In situations like that, having a scented bag is fantastic for your nose! Also the bags are durable enough to handle the occasional small twig that must be picked up with the rest of the mess without rupturing. Both of these features are hugely important for a 5+ mile journey down the trail. The real winner is the poop bag case. I’ve tried dispense from the bottom, other dispense from the side cases, and these cases are the best. The first case we acquired from Earth Rated is now over 2 years old and still holding strong and in use!

Its not straight forward to review a dogsh*! bag but ill give it a try. If you have read my other pet product reviews you know I have big dogs to take care of and with big dogs… you get to clean up big poops. These sh*!bags are big enough for 100+ pound (45+kilo) dogs. In fact you could fit two big poops worth of big dogsh*! in each of these waste bags with no issues (except that you might not have a big enough hand to accomplish the stated act). The bags are big and tough with two added bonuses: the lavender scent and the ‘earth rated’ product is claimed biodegradable. I purchased the 900 count with two dispensers. I didn’t buy these for the dispenser. that said: I do not like the dispensers so much as i’d rather clip the dispenser to my dog lead than my belt (especially in winter as a long overcoat makes access difficult). The clip is too big and loose to clip to the dog lead. The dispensers also have a velcro leash of their own but the velcro tends to stick to things and can be very annoying. I tried them- don’t like them. If you don’t have a dispenser solution- they are a good place to start. I do use them to keep a supply of bags in the car and at my friends house.

I bought these to be more “green” and see if they would hold up to the gross job they needed to. I know with some other biodegradable bags I have tried they were extraordinarily thin. Being the only barrier between my hand and excrement, I hoped that they had not skimped material. We have been using these pretty regularly and I feel very confident with the thickness of it. I don’t feel like my finger is going to poke out and the unspeakable will happen. Some lesser brand of bags have gotten thrown away for this reason. We had no problems with leaks. Even the unprotected roll that my shepherd (who does not have a “soft mouth”) picked up and carried around the house were fine. They had little indents from her teeth marks, but still kept their integrity. It is still a thin bag, but we have had no issues.I had been looking for a solid biodegradable bag and feel I have found a decent optiwith these. Canada is way better about recycling than we are, so if it meets their standards, I am satisfied with that. They are not as opaque as the black planet hurting bags I used before, but I cannot see the contents of the bag and that makes me a happy consumer. I also had only been looking for the biodegradable aspect and did not even notice these bags were scented in the description. It is not overwhelming and for us is not unpleasant. I leave them in the hot car and it has not made my car unbearable. After the first week, they no longer smell super strong unless unrolled. It is a very fake lavender smell. Like a cheap air freshener that boasts lavender scent, it is not at all like real lavender. Just like watermelcandy does not taste like watermelon. What the dog gives us to work with is extraordinary unpleasant and the worst part was carrying it until we had a proper way to dispose of it. I really thought the scent was just a gimmick, but once these bags are tied off there is no longer a horrible odor assaulting us as we desperately seek out a trash can. Only the mild perfume of the bag and you can hang it right the back of the dispenser. I much prefer fake lavender to feces. This is not my favorite dispenser because I prefer a clip rather than the hook and loop belt closure but that is just my personal preference. It is solid, not flimsy, and easy to use. It is not as quick to change leashes as a clip would be. I just fastened the velcro type closure around a cheap carabiner and made it easier for our use. That also eliminated the need to keep opening the hook and loop and inviting dirt and dog hair in to hitchhike.

I like this a lot more than one human should like a product that both dispenses bags with which to pick up poop as well as hold a bag of poop once it’s tied… but I like it. A lot.I really like it for the way the velcro band attaches to the leash and how adjustable that is. You can get it tight so it doesn’t move around or you can have it loose so it dangles the leash. It has held all bags I’ve tried with it, not just the Earth Rated bags. Even so, my next bag refill purchase will be for the Earth Rated scented bags because I like them enough. The scent does help, even if only a little.the back of the dispenser is a hook which you can slide a filled bag into once it’s tied. This is a nice extra feature with saves you from one hand a leash and the other a bag of poop after your dog decides to go 30 seconds into your 30 minute walk (yes, I am bitter). Just a nice, thoughtful additito a simple product. If you need something to hold poop bags a leash, this is the best product I’ve used. Much better than the cheap-o holders with plastic clips you’ll find at most stores. Highly recommended.

So many. These are pretty epic, as far as poop bags go. I have a lot of experience in this area, as I have three French Bulldogs, and they all poop. A small package of poop bags from a retailer costs nearly the same amount as I paid for 900 here. But, anyone who uses poop bags knows it is NOT all about price. The product MUST be up to the task! Strong, durable, non-ripping bags are crucial when putting your hand inside a bag to pick up feces. These bags simply never fail. I can’t stress how much that means to me. As an added bonus, these have a pleasant lavender fragrance. As an additional added bonus, you get 2 bag dispensers, as well!

our third day with these. The good news first: They’re adequate. Not as thick as Out! but good enough. And the order gives you a pretty large supply for a decent price – about $.03 per bag. All good. The not so good: they stink, as in the lavender is anything but. It’s got a smell more like public restroom cleaners (to my nose) and it’s only getting stronger. Every time I walk by the leashes with the bag holder hanging from it I catch a whiff and gag. I so wish I’d ordered unscented. the other hand, unscented are way more expensive per bag. The bag holders for the leash are odd. First, they are heavy (we have small dogs). Second, they don’t stay threaded together and come apart easily. You really have to tighten them quite a lot. I may just be a klutz but I need two hands to get a bag out of the container while walking the dogs. All in all – adequate bags. Prefer unscented or not a scent like a public restroom, plus leash containers that were lighter and stayed closed and easier to access (tho that is probably just me).

The velcro tie is sturdy, and it’s better and more secure than the loose plastic clasps most of these come with: although the dispenser is meant to hang from your leash via the velcro loop, I found that a bit too swingy, so I looped it multiple times around and it is snugly attached to the leash handle now. There’s a little clip the back where you can temporarily attach a full, tied up bag until you get to a waste bin: at first I was skeptical but it really beats holding a full poop bag in your hand while you walk far enough to find a place to pitch it. The bags themselves are a bit larger and a lot tougher than the average: if you have a small dog you probably don’t need bigger bags but anyone who’s ever had a bag rip while in use might appreciate not having to deal with that.

These used to come with a keychain instead of thsi velco strap so that made me kind of sad when this flimsy thing arrived. It’s pretty tough though and hasn’t fallen off so kudos to that. The plastic is a lot harder than the cheap bone shaped poop bag holders that come with the jumbo sized poop bag sets so I’m sure this will last a while. The only major problem I have with this is that sometimes the poop bag roll gets loose and the plastic bag jams. Maybe the stick in the middle isn’t long enough to keep the roll vertical?

Finally, a dispenser and poop bags that can hold up! I’ve been through 3 other dispensers — including the mighty Arm&Hammer, and they’ve all had various issues and annoyances: bags that won’t turn, lids that won’t stay shut, handles and attachments that fall off the leash. This dispenser is awesome. It has a velcro leash-attachment, the body is small but made of durable plastic. The lid screws shut. The bags are freestanding inside the tube — no problems turning for a new bag. Brilliant. Also, the bags are strong and the lavender scent masks the odor. As one more bonus, there is a small hook the dispenser that you can hang a loaded bag from — now we can continue our walk without me having to touch the bag. 🙂 I’m not sure if that is the intended purpose for the hook, but it works well for me .I highly recommend this dispenser and these bags! Well done, Earth Rated! Low price, great product!

I have used newspaper sleeves for decades…but they are getting thinner and thinner, and most often have holes in them, so I decided to spring for pick-up bags a roll. The only fault I find with them is they can be a little hard to tear off…probably because my hands are so arthritic. I like the scent and the dispensers, I carry one with me when I walk and the other one hangs my back door for picking up in the yard.UPDATE: Just started the second year’s supply. Be warned, if you haven’t bought recently. These bags appear to be thinner now, and while it’s not critical, they no longer have the distinctive design at the end that opens that helps make opening them quick and foolproof. Now you can see through the bags, due to the lighter gauge of them, and the sticky thing that keeps them rolled tightly, which must be removed before you can tear off the bag seems twice as sticky as the last one…hard to get it off without tearing the first bag. Will look for another type next year.

Great size, durability, and smell great too 🙂 (My boyfriend doesn’t like lavender, but lavender is a way better smell than poop!)I have a 50lb dog, who leaves all sized poops, and the bag truly does have enough room to take a Great Dane poop I’m sure. I can usually pick up my dogs poop and any others if they are nearby, because most of my neighbors don’t :(And the little bag holders are awesome! Not only does the top NOT pop off, the little hook to hold the poopy bag is ingenious. Now I dont have to hold the poopy bag in my hand for the rest of the walk. And the Velcro strap works great, I only wish i could adjust the size of it to make the holder hang closer to my dog lease handle so it didnt swing so much, but i still havent dropped a poopy bag out of the holder yet [going three weeks].Short Story: Awesome product!

In order of the sequence of use: First the dispenser hangs from your belt and flops around like some sort of strange green cucumber. So I tucked it into my pocket. Second, the roll of bags do not tear off one by one. You have to grab the sheet of bags with one hand and tear off the bag with the other hand. Third, unless you like lavender, you will not like the strong lavender scent that rubs off your hands every time you touch these bags. Even after washing your hands thoroughly when you get back home, you can still smell lavender. Fourth, even if you truly love the scent of lavender, after using this product, lavender will be firmly associated in your brain with dog poop. Fifth, the bags do not easily open up. You have to have moist fingers to stick to the plastic to get the top of the bag to separate, so now you find yourself spitting your fingers just before cleaning up dog poop. Sixth, the bags are not that thick. Basically they are the same thickness plastic sheet used for newspapers and grocery store vegetables, and those bags are free, already opened up, and don’t smear lavender scent all over your hands. I didn’t test the bio-degradability. I gave the product to someone else that does use them all the time. Hence the two star rating instead of one.

Bought this mainly because I could attach it to the leash handle. I was originally skeptical because it seemed a bit too heavy and I worried it’d make the leash awkward to use, but I’m happy to say it was like it wasn’t even there! The bags are super big and have a pleasant scent to them- when I picked up my dogs ‘business’ in the past, with other bags, I could ALWAYS smell it, even with the bags closed (hard to enjoy a walk with your pup when you’re gagging). With these there was no such issue; as soas it was in the bag, the smell was trapped too.One of the best features of this dispenser is that it has a little hook it which you can hang a tied shut used bag on- no more hanging onto them and being one handed for the rest of the walk (my neighborhood doesn’t have trash cans public paths).Great purchase, I’m super happy with it and will keep getting refills for it as needed.

These bags are wonderful. They are large enough to accommodate both my dogs’ waste in one bag. (I have a 40 lb retriever mix and a 19 lb terrier mix.) They are scented, which helps lessen the stench while carrying them to the nearest trash can, although they will still start to smell if thrown away indoors. I have found several statements that they are biodegradable, but I can’t find any informatihow long this takes the company web site. Also, with every 900-bag order, two dispensers are included. I can see how these might accumulate over time, though anything my dogs have access to is bound to need replacing sooner or later. The dispenser attachment is velcro, which is convenient for attaching it to different types of leashes, but sort of scratchy if you run with the leash in your hand. When bought in bulk (900 count), they are comparable in price to the ones available at grocery and pet stores, though they are much larger than any I have found in stores.I will definitely be purchasing more of these bags for my dogs.

I’ve been using various pet bags for years. Bags Board, N2N, Container Store, whatever Costco has, all of ’em. These are, hands down, my favorites, They roll easily, the bags open much more easily than any others, and they hold a LOT. The perforations are consistent; you wouldn’t think that to be a big problem, but occasionally, with other bags, the perforatiis halfway down the bag, making the bag more or less useless. They’re not the thin bags that rip to shreds just coming out of the dispenser; I can’t say exactly how thick they are, but they are definitely thick enough to be useful. I just love that these bags even have a cardboard core, taking the environmentally-friendly thing all the way through. I confess I haven’t tried the dispenser that came with the bags; I just keep using the dispensers I had in my jacket pockets, and these bags are just fine in those dispensers. My only quibble is the scent. I go into the basement to get a roll of bags, and it can be overpowering. I like the huge box; at the time I ordered these, I couldn’t find a huge box of unscented bags, so I’m willing to put up with the scent for the huge box (my two bruisers can go through a lot of bags). This is a terrific product. A little more expensive, but I think worth the extra money.

A poop bag is a poop bag, eh? For the most part, yes. I’ve tried them all and rarely if ever had a disaster, i.e., poop smeared hands, long sleeves or forearms. Any of those incidents were due to my own misuse or haste in picking up the “dirty deed”. But I wanted to be more responsible in my use of plastic. For that reason, these are great bags! They’re manufactured based Eco-friendly, biodegradable materials. But they’re not flimsy nor have they ever fallen apart during use. They’re large enough to pick up behemoth-sized loads and the lavender scent is a pleasant touch, not overtly strong or offensive. This isn’t my first time use of these bags. I’ve purchased them before from “brick & mortar” retailers but wanted a large quantity at a reasonable cost so I ordered these (60 rolls/900 count) from on. However, I did not receive any dispensers with this, as was described via the online store “Oliver’s Pet Care”. So, in a sense I got ripped off and didn’t get the entire value for the money spent. The “earth rated” brand dispensers cost $3.49 (empty) each. In reality, I was cheated out of $6.98 in this order. And I’m more than frustrated because doesn’t offer a replacement this item nor will they ship the missing dispensers, I’d only get a refund after shipping the package back at my expense. Either way, I’ve suffered a loss, so I won’t bother to return them. Bottom line, this item is not as described with regard to having (2) included dispensers, as noted by the storefront, Oliver’s Pet Care. Shame you, Oliver Pet Care!!! :(They get 5 stars because my issue has nothing to do with the bags and their quality.

I bought this value pack because my husband and I have two Saint Bernard puppy boys, and as you can imagine, they put out quit a bit of poo, even though they’re still young! These bags are nice and sturdy as advertised, and the dispenser with a hook is a nice touch, especially when we go a long walk through the neighborhood, and it’s a while before we reach a trashcan. The bag length is pretty good, but it’s not perfect…a few more inches would be a little more helpful, because if you’ve got a big pile to scoop up, you’re only left with a little bit of a tail to work with before you’re using a lower part of the bag that may have a little poo it.They only thing we’re not crazy about, is the scent; it’s not that it’s terrible, it’s just not “nice smelling” to either of us. When we read that they smell like lavender, we were excited, but they have more of a lavender-ish/baby powdery smell to them, and it’s not as nice as advertised.Despite the scent though, they are a really great value and we will continue to buy them, and we would recommend them! We actually just bought two more dispensers for their other set of leashes!

I love these. The bags are sturdy and the dispensers are nice. I also didn’t realize that my old “biodegradable” brown poop bags weren’t really environmentally friendly and that they just deteriorated into small pieces of plastic. These apparently are truly environmentally friendly.I also had the ubiquitous bone shaped dispenser, but the plastic loop broke. It was also annoying to try to unclip it if I just wanted my dog to drag his lease around the park so that the police officers could never accuse him of being off leash. My only complaint is that the dispenser is too long so sometimes the roll slips out of place and gets caught when you’re trying to pull one out. However, what really sold me this product is when I saw that my savvy neighbor who runs a very chic boutique and loves her dog had the same dispenser.

I bought these primarily because they are said to be biodegradable and despite the fact that they are scented. I generally don’t like fake scents in products (e.g. perfumed toilet paper or laundry detergent) but I figured how bad could it be? Well, these bags reek, so when you use them, you get the competing odors of dog poop (which is not masked at all by the way) and fake lavender. When you’re not using them, you still get the fake lavender – like all the time. We have them stored in a cabinet drawer, and if you go within ten feet of that cabinet, you pick up that smell. I need to put them in a sealed container or a ziploc bag or something to contain the stench.

I write this in the hope that I may save someone else from my fate. I was very happy to pay extra for some actually biodegradable dog poop bags. Upopening the box, I felt like I was being gassed. The manufacturer needs to understand the difference between “scent” and “odor.” I find it impossible to believe anything reeking this strongly of some chemical perfume is earth-friendly. It’s like they accumulated all the worst perfumes from every grandma in the world and put the resulting mixture in just my box. My entryway reeks now since that’s where I hang the leashes. Why did they feel the need to perfume these things? They’re poop bags. They go almost directly from the container to a trash bin. These things are ridiculous. Only buy them if your olfactory has been blasted out of existence.

A great additito my dog’s leash. This dog waste bag dispenser has a very strong and long hook-and-loop band to attach it to the handle of your leash. My favorite part is the hook the back of the dispenser to hold the full bag while you continue your walk. Since my dog sometimes uses 2 or 3 bags a walk, being able to keep both hands free for picking up is wonderful. Even when the bags are full and heavy they stayed in the hook until I removed them at home for disposal. I’ve recently started using the Earth Rated roll bags and like them because 1. they are big enough for a large pile; 2. it is easy to separate the bag from the roll; 3. the bags have a lavender fragrance to hide the dog waste smell; 4. the bags will readily break down at the landfill without endangering wildlife.

I have three large dogs and pick up a lot of poop. I’ve tried several different bags and have to say that these are my favorite. The biggest reasthey’re my favorite is they are so much easier to open than any other bag I’ve tried. When I’m standing out in the rain while holding three leashes and a flashlight, being easy to open is a big plus. They definitely have a strong baby powder type odor. Doesn’t bother me at all and does help mask the smell of said poop, but I can understand how it may bother some people. The bags are a generous size and seem a little larger than the others I’ve tried. Being earth rated is a nice plus. I wasn’t purchasing the bags for the little carrying container. Mine came with the velcro, which does seem fairly thin. I tend to carry the container in my pocket so, again, it isn’t a concern. I will definitely be buying these again when my supply of 900 runs out. With the way my pack of pups poops, that should be sometime in the very near future. lol

These are great bags but the smell is sickening! It smells like a public restroom air freshener, not a natural lavender scent. I wish they made an unscented version. We have to keep the bags in the garage because they smell so bad and the smell is so strong. I can even smell it when we’re outside walking our dog. But other than the smell, the bags are good. The size of the bags is great, my husband has very large hands and he has no problem picking up after our lab mix. The dispensers are nice too and attach to a leash easily with a velcro strap. I don’t use the clip feature the dispenser which is supposed to be for clipping your used poop bag because I don’t want a bag full of poop swinging all around. So if you can stand the smell these are great. And they’re usable even if you can’t stand the smell. Just keep them out of your house. I’m not sure that I will buy these bags again unless they come out with an unscented version. I have bought other biodegradable bags before and may just go back to the other brands that don’t stink up my house.

Love the large bags, the used bag hook, the convenience, and the biodegradability of the bags. Finally, I found biodegradable bags large enough to handle large breed poop without the need to use multiple bags or double bag. Not having handles the large bags is not a problem at all because the bags are large enough to twirl the bag at the top and tie it in a knot. Slipping the tied bag the hook the back of the dispenser is really easy, even at night, and very convenient. Tearing the bag off the roll is easy, and no bags are ripped in the process. I love the sturdiness and ease of these bags. You will need light to see where to tear the bags off the roll at night, but that’s normal. The scent of the bags is also nice, but it does not mask the smell of the poop, but I’m ok with that. These will be the only dispensers and bags I will ever use. The Velcro strap the dispenser is very secure and the dispenser is sturdy and doesn’t break when dropped cement or hard surfaces.

We just got a dog last year, and were finding ourselves constantly running out of little doggy bags. I insisted the biodegradable ones (my hubby could care less) but they are SOOOO expensive retail. I did some research and decided buying bulk.We hadn’t used this brand before but when we got them we were ed at the quality. Nice thick bags. They smell slightly baby powder-ish (in a nice way) and are roomy for the extra large turds that sometimes are deposited so that your hand doesn’t get disturbingly close to getting swiped while picking up. And I feel good knowing that they will degrade in the landfill and my pooch’s daily poo won’t be encased in plastic for 500 years. And the VALUE!!! When you buy in bulk, it’s an incredible deal. And we NEVER run out and blame the other persfor forgetting to pick up new bags at the pet/dollar store. We’ve been working this box for at least 9 months and still haven’t even gotten to the 1/2 way mark yet. Plus this comes in a great dispenser box for convenience of storage/access too. I love everything about this purchase. Will buy again when the times comes.

Like the concept of these bags but do not care for the odor….smells like a strong soap more than lavender. Will not buy again unless they produce an unscented version.UPDATE: ok I admit these bags do leave a nice smell your hands after use, but it is overwhelming smelling them in bulk. I also really like the size of these bags. Seem a bit roomier than comparable “rolls”. Also huge kudos to the company who not only addressed my review promptly but also let me know they carry an unscented versiin a smaller quantity. That said and after continued use, perhaps I will rethink these…..and try to find a place to store them where the fragrance isn’t so prominent. Just in case, Please offer the unscented versiin bulk too! Oh I haven’t used the cool dispenser yet but including those was a huge bonus and I like the design very much. Upped my rating and will keep in rotation. If the smell of dog poo bothers you during pick up then these would work very well for you.

I’ve had these before in both this leash travel dispenser roll form and boxed counter dispenser form. The travel dispensed versiare larger than the counter top, mostly in width. Length is similar. I have a 70-lb dog and both are sufficiently large.I do appreciate the scent. Although sometimes I forget I have one in my pocket and go to work smelling like lavender. The leash travel dispensers are by far the best, even better than the Bags-on-Board brand. They work about the same but the Earth Rated ones have a hook the side for used poop bags, which allows you to keep a hand free or carry something else. They also feel more durable because it has a single opening for dispensing, where the bone shaped Bags-on-Board versihas two despensing openings, which makes it feel more flimsy. Also, the bone shape made it a little easier to accidentally twist the top off and have your bag roll fall out, which is not fun to gather up and roll back up.

ETA March 30th 2014: Almost a year after ordering and I still have 11 rolls left! It is about time for a re-order! My dog poos 2-3 times a day too! I am surprised I haven’t run out sooner!I think this is a fantastic purchase for ANYONE who picks up poo. I would still buy these if I had a yard for my dog to poo in! It makes life so easy! And, honestly, I am the only one in the area who has these stylish bags! I love that they’re bright green!I am glad to see that these are now coming with two dispensers, when I bought them last year, they didn’t come with any dispensers. The dispensers are pretty great, and I love that it has velcro to attach with. Much more reliable than any plastic “carabiner” or attachment that I have seen any of the dog poo bag dispensers. The fabric the velcro does wear out though, mine is starting to fray, but for a year of DAILY use, I think that is okay! I am glad to get two with my next order because I do use more than one leash, and it will be nice not to accidentally forget the poo bags the other leash!—-Original review:Love the color. The thickness of the bag doesn’t make me feel like my nails are going to puncture through and they smell super nice. I am so glad that I bought these in bulk!! 🙂

I was really excited about this, as it is a perfectly sized, shaped and priced bag dispenser, but unfortunately mine came without the metal carabiner that is shown all product images. Instead, it has a velcro strap – apparently that is the new design. The velcro will probably work very well for people who use retractable leashes (I read some complaints that the metal carabiner was too small for that), but I use a padded handle leash which would fray from constant rubbing against the velcro edges. In spite of that I won’t be sending it back – I’ll just have to buy a cheap replacement carabiner, because other than the velcro issue it’s a great and sturdy dispenser. Such an improvement over the dreaded bone-shaped one! However, I’m giving it only 3 stars due to the fact that I am not able to use the product as is.I do wish they would update the product pictures or put in a note about the variety in fasteners, or better yet – sell two versions, one with the metal fastener for regular leashes and one with velcro for retractable ones.

For years I had been using the ubiquitous Bags Board poop bags feeling good about myself for using “biodegradable” bags. Turns out that theirs are only biodegradable in the sense that eventually the earth will melt down and nothing will exist anymore but, you know, semantics. After doing some more research, I came across the Canadian Earth Rated brand. Perfection. They even have a cardboard core. If you care at all about your ecological footprint/your dogs pawprint, then I highly recommend these. I immediately ordered them up along with their fantastic holder, which, ingeniously has a hook built onto it allow you to clip used bags onto it for the rest of the walk. Little feature, but very very smart. I don’t miss those blue bags one bit.Yes this is certainly a first world concern but if you have a dog, and if he/she poops AND if you clean said poop up with bags, you should make them these. And while you’re ordering them, you might as well get them in bulk unless you have some sort of fancy dog who eventually phases out defecating altogether.Canada – you are officially forgiven for Bryan Adams!

I bought this when switching to “Earth Rated Poop Bags” because they said the bags were longer and I wasn’t sure if the old fire hydrant holder would work still. Well it would have, but this one is nice because it threads together instead of snaps, the clip is a metal carabeaner, and it had the clip to hold the used waste bag. Much nicer design than the cheap fire hydrant bag holder we had. But once again, you don’t need to buy this to use Earth Rated bags, they fit fine in any standard bag holder.

I’m a professional dog walker, so I pick up a lot of poo! 🙂 I got this specifically for the hook the side, so I can slip a baggie onto it and not have to walk around for 30 minutes holding the bag. So far the caribiner clip is holding up and I’m very satisfied.

Like everyone else, I have a “bone” bag holder that I used to use, and when I saw that this one has a clip to hold your ‘used’ bags during the walk, I was excited to try it. Who likes holding the bag with your hands and walking by people and smiling. “Hey look I have a cute dog, and here’s his poop in my hand!”The metal carabiner is a nice convenience too. The bone holder I had came with a cheap plastic ring thing that was hard to hook and unhook from my dog’s leash. This one is a standard clip. Many other reviews complain that the bags are too strongly scented, but I disagree- it’s a nice soft scent of florals and air freshener-type scent. Doesn’t bother me, and I didn’t notice it being my hands after a bit.Really no qualms about this- it’s a holder, and it comes with bags. You put poop in the bags. Buy it if you have a dog that poops.

Out of all the bags we’ve ever purchased, these are our favorites. They cost a bit more than the Ikea $1/roll ones, but the price is very decent for a biodegradable bag. I love these because:1. They smell great. The lavender smell is not overpowering, and it’s not a cheap perfume smell. They are just pleasant. I don’t have to hold the stinky-poop-filled bag far away from me when I’m looking for a garbage bin in the park.2. They are well made. Some other cheaper bags sometimes don’t get the perforatiright, and every so often you end up with a bag that has no bottom (and once you pick up the poop, it falls right out of the bottomless bag onto your shoes…lovely). We’ve used hundreds of these bags now, and have never came across a single defective one.3. The dispenser is handy. We got the dispenser to hang off the end of the leash, so we never forget to bring baggies with us. The small rolls need to be replaced about once a week, which is not too bad in my mind.4. The thickness is perfect. Some of the bags you can buy are so paper thin, I’m always afraid of piercing them with my nails by accident. These bags, while not the thickest, I find are the perfect thickness for their purposes.5. These are multi-purpose. We use these bags primarily for our dog, obviously. We actually also keep a roll of these in our baby’s diaper bag. If there’s a poop-filled diaper to change and we’re out somewhere, we put the poopy diaper in one of these bags then dispose of it. This way we don’t pollute the air in a public bathroom or the airplane bathroom or my brother’s house bathroom. We’ve also used these bags to contain baby clothes that got wet from spit-ups or whatnot when we’re out. They are just handy to have around.

I purchased three of these for the various leashes I use and two of the three clips arrived broken. Fortunately, someone directly from EarthRated contacted me shortly thereafter, and after sending photo’s of the defective clips, they sent me replacement dispensers as well as a hand written note! I’m very happy with EarthRated’s customer service. Unlike on, EarthRated truly seems to care about their customers and go above and beyond to make them happy. As for the dispenser, the main reasI purchased these was because of the handy clip behind the dispenser. I have taken my dog running and the bag does not slip out of the clip the back. I don’t know why I didn’t purchase these dispensers sooner. The cap is actually a screw-type cap so you don’t have to wrestle with a pop-off lid like the type provided by Bags Board.I did notice that the baggies themselves do have a strong lavender scent but washing my hands got rid of the smell immediately. I’m not sure why one of the reviews stated that they could not get the smell off their hands… using warm water and a scented soap seemed to work just fine. Personally, I would rather smell a strong lavender scent over my little guy’s poop!Sidenote: EarthRated mentioned they are working a larger carabiner for those who use larger retractable leashes! You might want to keep an eye out for those to come out if you are afraid the current carabiner’s won’t fit around your leash handles. I used cable ties to attach the container directly onto the plastic handles for my leashes.

I never thought I get so excited over a poop bag dispenser, but here I am. Maybe there’s something wrong with me, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is the best dispenser that I’ve come across yet. When I first got a dog I got the standard Bags Board bone-shaped dispenser. It seemed okay, though it was always difficult to thread the bags through the small opening. Eventually, though, that dispenser broke right between the opening for the bags and where the lid screwed on. The problem was that this space was way too thin/weak, even without over tightening the lid.We switched to a Bags Board snap-on-lid dispenser. That was a disappointment because the lid was extremely difficult to put and take off and, eventually, that one broke too.We ended up with a generic bone-shaped dispenser for a while. That was okay until my daughter carried the lid off somewhere. In search of a replacement, I knew I wanted a dispenser with a screw lid, but one that would have the strength to withstand constant use. I spotted this dispenser and figure that even if it was the worst dispenser ever, it would be worth the risk at the price I paid for it. It was 25-40% cheaper than comparable dispensers at the time of purchase.I’ve been using it for a few weeks and, so far, it’s fantastic. The material seems sturdy and I highly doubt that I’ll experience breakage like I did with other dispensers. The space between the lid and hole for the bags is ample. As a bonus, the hole to thread the bags through is generous and I can easily fit my thumb and finger inside to peal the sticker and grab the first bag.Another nice feature, that I didn’t see listed in the description, is a little hook the back of the dispenser to hold the bag that you’ve just used to pick up poop. It’s nice not to have to hold a soiled bag the whole way back home, just to end up fumbling with it, dropping it in rain puddles, etc. This dispenser has a metal carabiner so that you can attach it to your leash. The one I received was green and matched the dispenser. I definitely like the metal fastener, as I’ve had plastic fasteners break and stretch to the point of repeatedly unhooking themselves. I have a 1″ very thick and sturdy leash. It took a little bit of manipulating to get the dispenser attached, but it was no big deal and feels very secure. The bags that came with the dispenser are very nice. They are thick and, yes, they smell good without being overpowering. I didn’t buy any refills because I have a stash of Bags Board brand bags left over. The fit perfectly as well and this dispenser has generous interior pegs both ends that hold the core securely in place. Now there are two “negatives” that I feel I should mention. Neither of these things bother me much and obviously didn’t impact my score, but I still thought they should be mentioned. One is the green color. I’m not a fan of this color at all. If they never offered another color would I still buy this dispenser? Yes, of course. But I would prefer a different color. Secondly, my dispenser arrived with a logo printed below the dispenser hole. In very small letters it says “Earth Rated” and below that, in bigger letters, it says “PoopBags”. Again, this doesn’t bother me. But I realize that some people might not like this.
